Is activeresource broken in rails 3.2.4?
Hi,
I see that
Person.find(:all) and Person.find(:all, :params => {id => ''2''}) returns
all records irrespective of conditions. Is activeresource broken?
PS: Im using rails 3.2.4

ActiveResource does not detect errors for my very simple model
The documentation says to return a code 422 with a packet in the
following format:
<errors type="array"><error>First cannot be empty</error></errors>
So that is what I am doing. But my model will not raise an exception
on a create call that returns such a response, and a record created
that way returns true for its valid? call.
I simply do:

ActiveResource Mock Objects
Some of my tests use ActiveResource HttpMock requests and some of them
do not. Does anyone know if there is a way to disable the HttpMocks
after they have already been loaded? The method
ActiveResource::HttpMock.reset! only removes all the objects, but
ActiveResource still thinks it should look for mock requests rather
than actually making requests. I hope this makes sense!
Thanks,
Tom

Headers in ActiveResource
I am creating a rails app that is a gui wraping a restful web service
that uses a websso for authentication. This websso sets a series of
headers that I need to pass from the request to the
ActiveResource.find methods. As this is stuff like username etc it is
going to be different for each request. I can find examples on how to
set headers for all requests not just one.
Does anyone know of a way

Hi,
I have a scenario where a row in a DB can be updated by multiple

ActiveResource::create with an existing id: Rails 3.0 vs Rails 3.1 and above
I''m upgrading my application from Rails 3.0 to Rails 3.2 (yeah, I know,
what happened to 3.1?), and I''m experiencing a difference in the REST call
when calling ActiveResource::create where the id is already defined. In
3.0, the app is sending a PUT. In 3.1 and above, is sending a POST. The
PUT seemed to make sense to me since the id already exists.
Is there any

Problem with exists? method
Hi,
I have a DB with table TABLENAME, column COLUMN and an active resource
client trying to connect to the DB. When i do
Tablename.find(:all) => i get all the entries from the table
But Tablename.exists?(:column => value) always returns false
I verified that the above command works from rails console. Dont
understand why it always returns false even when there are valid
records.

Prob with updating a record with Activeresource object
Hi,
I am updating a record using activeresource object. I get an error "cant
mass assign protected attributes id, created_at , updated_at". This is
because i read a record, modify some values and then update the entry
using object.save( which also updates id, created_at etc). To remove
this error i can include the id, created_at fields in the model file.
But is there a better way to get

Create or Update Model with JSON?
Having issue updating a model with JSON. I simply *"model.attributes=json"*,
which does update the attributes but not the id, or uuid in this case. I
want to save or create the record (if it''s id exists). Seems like this would
be documented, but I''m not finding anything. I''m using a MOM to pass JSON
between apps. Thanks.
