Vinagre 3.10.2 and intltool
Hello to all,
I wanted to update vinagre to the latest one but when I launch ./configure
I obtained the following error:
checking for intltool >= 0.50.0... 0.41.0 found
configure: error: Your intltool is too old. You need intltool 0.50.0 or
later.
Do you know if there is a way to upgrade intltool without upgrade too much
stuff?

[PATCH] build: improve maintainer-check-extra-dist target
Filter out from the git ls-files output the files we don't care they
appeared (gnulib and intltools stuff), and use comm to only show the
remaining added files (i.e. files not being distributed).
The output of comm is redirected to file and then printed, so we can
check it is empty (failing the target if not).

I desired to do this by source.
After installing the packages below my system comes up, I thought
everything was good.

there seems to be
an issue with closing or opening windows some random time later with all
three programs.

copy/paste centos 6
I had to update all these packages on CentOS 6 for a project.
Everything works great on CentOS 6 - except - Copy/Paste between
applications.
Anyone - know which application below might control that function?
Example I cannot have firefox running and copy and paste text into
thunderbird.
Both applications - actually all applications work - I just cant copy/paste.
I'm thinking I did not

switch metacity->compiz (compiz ignores its own settings)
I have configured compiz to use 1 workspace and 4 viewports and metacity
to use 4 workspaces.
When I start compiz while metacity was running it uses 4 workspaces and
4 viewports (ignoring the gconf settings).
When I restart X so that compiz is started before metacity this does not
happen (it uses what its configured for).
bug or feature?
if feature can it be disabled?

screenshot plugin compile fails on freebsd
Hello list,
there is no `versionsort' implementation in the dirent.h on standard
installation of freebsd 6.x.
I have replaced `versionsort' with `alphasort' in screenshot.c, but I
don't know whether that fix will cause crash screenshot plugin since I have
not yet ran the latest git xgl/compiz/mesa on my freebsd.

r-base installation fails on Ubuntu 14.04
That could do it
http://packages.ubuntu.com/trusty-backports/libcgmanager0
Seems to be libc related, which is a pretty core library to much of the
whole system.
Hmm, which model Dell? We just got a Dell 5000 series with Ubuntu, I
have not checked with my boss if there was R installation issues.
Thanks,
Alex

r-base installation fails on Ubuntu 14.04
Possibly off the wall and a long shot, but is pre-installed Linux
perhaps 32 bit, while the R attempt is 64?

Problem with ldpaths in Ubuntu 13.04
Hello!
I'm trying to install R-3.0.1 on an Ubuntu machine (64 bit, version 13.04). I have uninstalled and installed several times, but to no avail.
I keep getting errors about missing ldpaths, and installing packages does not work at all.
Here is the information:
erin@erin-Lenovo-IdeaPad-Y480:~$ sudo apt-get install r-base

r-base installation fails on Ubuntu 14.04
I can make a few suggestions to help you hunt for the issue. This kind
of error is often caused by conflicting packages from proposed,
backports, ppas, or other 3rd party repos. If for some reason you have a
dependency installed from one of those sources that is newer than what R
on cran was built against (stock ubuntu 14.04) then you will hit a conflict.
Simply removing backports from your repos

Multilevel analysis using nlme (lme) . Error using z-scores
Hi,
i am trying to learn something about multilevel analysis using a great
"Discovering statistics using R". I constructed some sample data and then
tried to fit a model. Generally model fits well, however when trying to fit
the same model using z-score (standarizded) variables i got an error:

vorbis-tools 1.2.0 Release Candidate
I bumped the version number of vorbis-tools and am preparing it for an
eventual release in a few days.
A changelog of what's new may be found at [1].
Meanwhile, what's in SVN is a "Release Candidate" to find out if
anything was broken since version 1.1.1. Report any (or lack of)
problems you may find, so we'll be able to put out a new version of
vorbis-tools.

r-base installation fails on Ubuntu 14.04
Synaptic can show the origin of packages.
The only thing I see from a backport is
libcmanager0
I don't think this is relevant to R. Or is it.
The only thing I've got installed from a ppa is mate (a desktop). I
don't see anything related to mate that is related to R.
FYI the ubunu I'm using came preinstalled from Dell (on a notebook;
usually I install linux myself).

r-base installation fails on Ubuntu 14.04
It's a Dell XPS 13.
Obviously I don't understand what's in libcmanager0. I wonder if I can
safely replace it. I'm a bit uneasy about replacing things Dell
installed. I gather there are some specialized drivers for the monitor
on this system.
