Why SI.isSigned() is not equals to E->getType()->isSignedIntegerOrEnumerationType()?
Hi LLVM developers,
I am implementing Loong Language[1] using Clang FrontEnd and LLVM

error: ordered comparison between pointer and zero ('address' (aka 'unsigned char *') and 'int')
Hi Thomas,
Looks good.
Your changes in loopPredicate.cpp does not match original changes - they
miss iff->is_RangeCheck() check [1]. But in JDK8 we did not have
specialized RangeCheckNode class in C2. Suggested fix should be fine fro
jdk 8u.
Reviewed.

fileserver question
Hello,
When reading the documentation regarding the fileserver configuration, I
found it very handy. The idea to create a virtual share which points to
a location on the fileserver. However, I may have run into a problem.
What I wanted to do was to have this share point out a location and
under that location, I''d create what would be a relative root. Part of
the reason for this is you

Uninstall Samba?
Hello,
I am wondering if anyone could help me out with the following questions:
1. How to uninstall Samba?
2. How to install/upgrade/uninstall Samba from Mandrake 9.0 to the latest
Samba version via source code (I noticed that MDK9 installed Samba to
different places. And the document:"Using Samba" mentioned the file
"inetd.conf" but I couldn't find it in MDK9.)

[LLVMdev] Using basicaa alias analysis pass
Hi
I am completely new to LLVM, and I am trying to explore the alias analysis
part of it. It seems to me that -basicaa is the most simple alias analysis
pass in LLVM. So I would like to try and make it work (to see some alias
analysis results of some sample bit code).
What I have done is that I
---make lib/Analysis/BasicAliasAnalysis.cpp into a .so file
---write a sample c program, hello.c,

winbind on a domain with 150000 users
I am trying to use winbind on a domain with 150000 users, but I can't
make it work. Is that because I have done something wrong, or doesn't
winbind scale to that many users?
It works a little, I can use wbinfo to translate between sid, uid and
gid, and I can also get the groups a user is in. But when I try to get
the list of all users with 'wbinfo -u', I get a timeout and winbindd

RFC - file population and basic configuration script
Hi,
Since I''m about to deploy puppet on a large number of hosts, I got a
little tired of inputing configuration files which basically held very
similar information.
I wrote a small script where I intended the following:
- when you encounter a file that you realize should be handled by
puppet, you run my script with the filename as argument. The script
looks at the mode, user,

[LLVMdev] Improving the usability of LNT
Hi Daniel,
I made some changes to the LNT perf reporting tool to make it more user friendly by adding some features:
1. Make the sidebar and the navigation bar stationary, so that it is easy to navigate the site
2. Have the pop-down menu for the items in the navigation bar, activate upon hovering the mouse, rather than clicking the item
3. Add a nav-link in the sidebar for the

Bumps chart in R
Hi there,
I would like to make a 'bumps chart' like the ones described e.g.
here: http://junkcharts.typepad.com/junk_charts/bumps_chart/
Purpose: I'd like to plot the proportion of people in select countries
living for less then one USD pr day in 1994 and 2004 respectively. I
have already constructed a barplot - but I think a bumps chart would
be better

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc doesnt honor volatile quantifier of the array type?
Hi,
I encountered a problem about volatile quantifier when using llvm-gcc, here
is the example:
#define N 10
int sum(volatile int a[N]) {
int sum = 0;
unsigned i = 0;
for (i = 0; i < N; ++i)
sum += a[i];
return sum;
}
If I compile it as C code, then llvm-gcc will dump:
define i32 @sum(i32* nocapture %a) nounwind {
bb1.thread:
%0 = volatile load i32* %a, align 4

[LLVMdev] alias analysis results
Hi there,
I am trying to understand how AliasAnalysis works out in LLVM. I used
the following simple test-case (test4.c):
--
void test()
{
int *jj, *kk;
int aa = 100;
jj = &aa;
*jj = 300;
}
int main()
{
test();
return 0;
}
--
Then I did "llvm-gcc -emit-llvm -c -o test4.bc test4.c" to get bc. I
tried the following 2 ways to get what I expect to get as

a quick question about the package "car"?
Hi,
Just a quick question. I wonder if the package of "car" has been removed from the most current version of R. Or what can I do to renew it since I have to do the analysis with that?
Thanks,

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc miscompilation or it's the gcc's rule?
Hi,
Here is C function:
uint64_t mul(uint32_t x, uint32_t y) {
return x * y;
}
current llvm-gcc-4.0 with -O3 will compile it to:
define i64 @mul(i32 %x, i32 %y) nounwind {
entry:
%tmp3 = mul i32 %y, %x ; <i32> [#uses=1]
%tmp34 = zext i32 %tmp3 to i64 ; <i64> [#uses=1]
ret i64 %tmp34
}
This seems incorrect. I think it should extend %x, %y to i64 first and
