sticky windows and rotate focus
Hi everyone,
One thing that has always annoyed me about compiz is how rotate
handles sticky windows. If you have a sticky window on your desktop,
it will usually (always?) get focus when you rotate to a different
face on the cube. This happens even when other windows have been
focused more recently on the face you rotate to.
This seems like silly behaviour, because sticky windows are (for me)

Multi Head Cube rotation
Hi,
I pulled compiz from GIT yesterday to see if I could get proper
multi-head support. I think the current status is great, but I have
one little suggestion to make.
The current behavior is that we have two viewpoints of the "cube"
(it's more like a body with eight side planes now). If it's rotated
one step we skip one of the planes. Rotating four times is enough to
go round

Rotate/edge-flip and jumping mouse pointer
Hi,
I'm using running Xgl/compiz on Gentoo/AMD64/2006.0, with
xgl-0.0.1_p20060418 and compiz-quinnstorm-0.0.9.3 on Gnome 2.14.
I love the edge-flip feature of rotate, but I sometimes have a problem
where, after edge-flipping the mouse pointer seems to jump to the opposite
window edge which starts rotating the cube to the next desktop, so I start
moving the pointer back, whereupon it jumps

Bug with scale and cube plugins
Hello, a friend of mine discovered this bug the other night when he was
spastically moving the mouse around. Basically, the problem is that when
invoking the scale plugin by moving the mouse rapidly to the top-right
corner of the screen, it's possible to create a situation where the
screen rotates after the windows are scaled. When this happens you
cannot select a scaled window, cannot

Recently i have worked on re-writing beryl's transparent cube, and

happen in beryl).
Patching order: btf-ftb.patch, clip-planes.patch, plugin-events.patch,

Compiz 8.6 on openSuSE 11.0 -- Success! But need help with a few issues.
Dominique, cc: compiz,
Dominique, you wanted the feedback, and List, I need your help. I have
installed and fully configured (kicked the tires) on compiz 8.6 on openSuSE 11.0
and on balance it is great. There are a few weird things going on. Most notably,
the number of options in ccsm that now uncheck themselves. In the past (compiz
0.5.6 - 0.8.2) there may have been one or two that would stick

Minor fix to multi-head changes for mixed resolutions
Hey, David, for me the recent multihead changes had minor a problem with mixed resolutions (1600x1200 & 1280x1024). The viewport was getting set partially off screen.
The following tweak fixed it for me:

Metadata improvements
I was just thinking, with the metadata files allowing us to make up
settings pages, there is a problem that we could address here.
It seems ever-so-evident that developers are splitting up plugins into
much smaller plugins to reduce the amount of bloat. This is good
because it speeds things up but bad for the user in two ways
-We've got multiple settings pages which really adress the same

this exact behavior when 'indirect rendering' is enabled.

8.2 behaving weird on openSuSE 10.3 & 11.0
Listmates,
I installed 8.2 on opensuse 10.3 from the opensuse XGL repository to replace
7.6. Compiz works with the nvidia 8600 GT card (512M of GDDR3) on the box, but
the ctrl+alt <- -> switching behavior is really bad.
In 7.6, the ctrl+alt <- -> desktop switching changed desktops crisply with
just the slightest hint of the cube detected during the very short and nice
switch.

Couldn't activate plugin 'rotate'
First, I would like to compliment you all for a great work you put in
developing compiz. I have it running for more that a month and it did
not crash. Stability is very good. Great work!
Today I updated compiz from git tree and found that rotate generates
this error:
compiz (core) - Error: Couldn't activate plugin 'rotate'
Rotate does not function. Any ideas ?

reason for bad performance on i915 (AIGLX)
Greetings everybody!
For about two weeks I'm now a happy owner of an intel-powered laptop
(chipset, wifi, gfx) and wanted to give it a full test-drive of compiz
and other GL-intensive programs.
The laptop runs Xorg 7.1.1 and the i810 driver that comes with it
(stock rpm from FC6). I'm forced to start compiz 0.3.4 with these
options...

--strict-binding
--indirect-rendering

updating the AUTHORS file
Hey everyone,
I like to get the AUTHORS file updated before the next release.
I suggest that we add the name and email of anyone who contributed some
piece of code to compiz. For people who have contributed such a
significant piece of code that it can be considered an algorithm or some
functionality (e.g. Mirco's sky dome support in the cube plugin or
S?ren's plane plugin), that should

gtk-window-decorator takes 100% CPU and doesn't work
Hi,
I tried to run compiz on an intel i810 device (aiglx). According to
the docs, I should:
# LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=TRUE compiz --replace --loose-binding gconf
GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is available with direct rendering.
gtk-window-decorator: Could not acquire decoration manager selection
on screen 0 display ":0.0"
And
1. I get no window decorations at all
