8.2 behaving weird on openSuSE 10.3 & 11.0
Listmates,
I installed 8.2 on opensuse 10.3 from the opensuse XGL repository to replace
7.6. Compiz works with the nvidia 8600 GT card (512M of GDDR3) on the box, but
the ctrl+alt <- -> switching behavior is really bad.
In 7.6, the ctrl+alt <- -> desktop switching changed desktops crisply with
just the slightest hint of the cube detected during the very short and nice
switch.

Compiz Fusion is the result of a merge between the Compiz community plugin
set "Compiz Extras" and the parts of the Beryl project that are independent

Couldn't activate plugin 'rotate'
First, I would like to compliment you all for a great work you put in
developing compiz. I have it running for more that a month and it did
not crash. Stability is very good. Great work!
Today I updated compiz from git tree and found that rotate generates
this error:
compiz (core) - Error: Couldn't activate plugin 'rotate'
Rotate does not function. Any ideas ?

Patch to wobbly snap for outputs
Here's a patch to wobbly.c to handle edge snapping with multiple outputs...
Also, I tweaked the window edge snapping to include dock window types, to
support the case where dock windows may be on the inner edges of multiple
monitors (and thus currently ignored as struts in the output workarea setup).
I personally think we should include these "inner" struts when calculating the

The cAos Foundation and hosted projects have been granted a booth in the Dot
Org Pavilion of Linux World Expo in SF this August.
If you are a developer or contributor of the project and would like to help
staff the both, please send me a private email so we can coordinate.
I don't have the actual numbers of Exhibitor badges that we can get yet, but I
would assume it is not many. This means

Wobbly jerkyness
About a month ago, David made a commit to wobbly to the spring engine which
has introduced some bugs. They are hard to explain so bear with me.

the windows jerk all over the place. For example, I sometimes notice that
when I move a large window (around 2/3 of the size of the desktop window),
If I moved it down, the top of

Feedback from VON expo! Info on * HA andPolycomphone!!
Great Email. I'm going to respond to some of the points.
"Q: What are the plans for HA?
A: With a configuration using DNS-SRV and DUNDi, you can create a
pretty resiliant setup now."
That's BS. Last time I checked, Asterisk's support of SRV was to only grab the first SRV entry. Period. If it doesn't try any more SRV hosts after the first fails, just exactly how

Grrr. I'm using outlook web access and there's no way to do inline replies.
Anyway...
Gabriel.
Using SER does not create a single point of failure. You install three SER boxes. Single point of failure gone.
It does not take several seconds.
If your phones are configured for SRV, and 2/3 of your SER boxes down, it takes about 2s. That's not bad for a 2/3 system failure. You can
