Make for Ruby 1.9.3 results in "cc1: out of memory allocating X bytes after a total of Y bytes"
I am unable to install RoR on a VPS running RedHat Linux with 512 MB. When I run "make" and "make install" I get the following output/error below. What can I do to resolve this memory problem? It appears I should have sufficient memory to install. I included the results of "make" and "free" to show the failure as well as the available memory. Thanks

[LLVMdev] does new EH require newer linker?

more on file upload
well, so File upload seems to be only working under mongrel. I have not tried it, but Camping crash extracting the request parameters on both CGI and FastCGI. I''m looking at rails code for inspiration, but it''s a bit outside of my knowledge..... not sure what to do with a FCGI::Stream object ..... this is what rails do for CGI, I''m not sure if it works the same for

HPUX 10.20 and OpenSSH 3.4.p1
Hello, over the last few days I've been attempting to compile openssh-3.4p1 on a HP j5000 (hpux 10.20) but have run into some problems. I had found the paper from Kevin Steves and have been following his suggested steps. Perl, zlib, prngd, tcp_wrappers and openssl all compiled more or less as he described. The configure script runs without protest but make gets hung up in

mongrel and fastthread on ruby 1.9?
Is anybody testing mongrel on ruby 1.9. I just tried installing mongrel on trunk 1.9 and trunk rubygems and got this error compiling fastthread: /Users/stephen/dev/ruby/1.9_trunk/bin/ruby extconf.rb install mongrel --no-rdoc creating Makefile make gcc -I. -I/Users/stephen/dev/ruby/1.9_trunk/include/ruby-1.9/i686-darwin8.10.1 -I/Users/stephen/dev/ruby/1.9_trunk/include/ruby-1.9 -I.

about PATH_INFO and FastCGI
in one of my recent email, I add .to_s to PATH_INFO in camping code. actually, this is probably very wrong. the problem is probably something like PATH_INFO does not exist when using FastCGI. I have not done all my homework, but so far what I found is lighttpd has a special option "broken-scriptfilename": breaks SCRIPT_FILENAME in a wat that PHP can extract PATH_INFO from it (default:

[LLVMdev] Trouble using the MCJIT: "Target does not support MC emission" error
I'm trying to wire up some code to use the MC-based JIT; my understanding is that it should be able to JIT AVX code (and that the regular JIT cannot). However, I'm getting the error "Target does not support MC emission!" when I call EngineBuilder::create(). I assume that I'm just not doing something necessary for initialization, but I'm not sure what it would be--I am

[LLVMdev] Trouble using the MCJIT: "Target does not support MC emission" error
Hi Ralf, FYI, old JIT doesn't support AVX at all, no encoding info, etc... The only way to use AVX+JIT is using MCJIT, which contains the correct encoding, but unfortunately the framework isn't good yet as the old one is. On Thu, Aug 25, 2011 at 10:12 AM, Ralf Karrenberg <Chareos at gmx.de> wrote: > Hi Matt, > > I am unsure about MCJIT, but I guess the problem is the same.

[LLVMdev] Trouble using the MCJIT: "Target does not support MC emission" error
Hi Matt, I am unsure about MCJIT, but I guess the problem is the same. Just like when invoking llc, you need to pass the information to use AVX (llc -mattr=+avx). I guess the corresponding code should look like this: llvm::EngineBuilder engineBuilder(module); engineBuilder.setErrorStr(&eeError); engineBuilder.setEngineKind(llvm::EngineKind::JIT);
