When I enable compiz in Ubuntu Gutsy I can't move window titles *above* the top panel. With compiz disabled I can grab a window in the middle (Alt+left mouse) and move its title bar above the screen showing just the bottom part of the window. Is there a setting that would cause windows to open with their title bar hidden behind the GNOME panel? With Compiz disabled they always open below the panel (as if the bottom of the panel was the top of the screen). Last night I reworked compiz-aiglx patch from Kristian H?gsberg to get it working (i.e. patching and running) with latest compiz cvs. Most plugins and features are working again now : wobbly, minimize, resize, cube, rotate, move, fade, scale, place, zoom.
