[ANNOUNCE] libXpm 3.5.13
libXpm is the library for handling images in the XPM format.
Lest we be accused that users have to wait many years to get fixes out,
let's quickly release the branch before the calendar turns over over again
so it's just some years. The actual fixes here are some found by static
analysers, and a build fix for Windows (which, curiously, is dated to 2012
so clearly we're at the top of

Sweve/cacheSweave
Hi there
I have a problem with using Sweave in combination with the option driver = cacheSweave.
Whichever code I try to run - when it comes to converting the tex file into pdf it comes up with the same errors (\csname \endcsname errors). Does anybody have an idea what it going wrong?

Codeweavers install problem.
Hi... trying to install Codeweavers-wine-20010305, which is the latest
stable build I understand.
It configures and then informs me that it'll compile but that building
without the Xpm development files won't work. Sure enough... they were
right...<grin>
So I go get the latest Xpm stuff and they turn out to be libxpm4-3.4 and
libxpm4-devel-3.4. Got them in .src.rpm and

I try to setup a bridge firewall base on http://shorewall.net/bridge.html
I''m using shorewall-1.4.10g-1.
I doublecheck on /etc/shorewall/routestopped file on my firewall, and

Should I use different shorewall version ?

Please update GPG signature to long format.
Hi Michael and Dirk,
there are raising concerns that, as of today's computing power, an attacker can
generate a GPG key that has the same short ID as a target key. In this
situation, it may be possible that a user downloads and trusts the attacker's
GPG key, and as a consequence installs malware.
For that reason (better explained in http://lwn.net/Articles/697417/), it is recommended to

DPMA 3.5.5 Released
Greetings,
We don’t normally announce DPMA releases on here but 3.5.5 was just
released which resolves a compatibility issue between the latest versions
of Asterisk (using PJSIP 2.10) and DPMA. For TCP or TLS traffic it was
possible for a crash to occur. It’s recommended to update to 3.5.5.
Installs which select DPMA in “make menuselect” will automatically get the
latest version or the tarballs

Samba 3.5.5. id-map issues with Active Directory
Hi,
I'm running Debian Squeeze on a few machines that are all
authenticating to a pair of Windows 2008 servers. After upgrading to
samba 3.5.5 from 3.4.8 idmap has stopped resolving which is
preventing user authentication on these boxes. The boxes that have
been left at 3.4.8 continue to work fine.
On the 3.5.5 boxes wbinfo and net ads show lists of users and groups
without issue yet id

Debian Upgrade to 3.5.5
After today's Squeeze upgrade from 3.4.8 to 3.5.5, domain logons were initially broken.
I was fortunate to find Thomas Burkholder's workaround from last June, i.e. turn off
server signing.
Can anyone explain why "server signing = auto" no longer works in 3.5.x?
Thanks.
Dale

getent group fails on member server after upgrade to 3.5.5
I have a member server joined to a samba 3 domain. It was working fine
with 3.4.8 but after an upgrade to 3.5.5 (debian lenny with backports)
getent group no longer works.
getent passwd works fine, wbinfo -u and wbinfo -g work fine
I upgraded some other servers which are DC's and those work fine.
