attachment_fu Not Resizing
Hello, Recently attachment_fu stopped resizing images for me. I''m puzzled because before today it was resizing them and I don''t know what''s changed. Here''s my code: class Product < ActiveRecord::Base has_attachment :content_type => :image, :storage => :file_system, :max_size => 18.megabytes,

file_column and resizing only when it's bigger issue
I have limited space in my web design to display the logo of the upcoming event. So I put in code like this. file_column :image, :magick => { :versions => { "250x165" => "250x165"}} I was under the assumption that the image under directory 250x165 will be of this size if the image is bigger than 150x165. But I found out that for an image of size 134x88 the image

Hi Wayne Yep, HLS is something we would like to use with Icecast. As you mentioned, Liquidsoap made a great step in the right direction if it comes to HLS. It seem that icecast might not get this support soon, as you might read in the discussion list. I don?t share these arguments, because we have real world use cases (we have many of them) where we would like use icecast with HLS support.

Tom and Frederick. Thank you both for your input. It is greatly appreciated, not only by me, but I am sure for many others who find this thread. Tom - using Linux server for icecast. HLS was brought to my attention a while back on the liquidsoap forum. I have not had a chance to completely look in on it, but do plan on checking it out. Tom. You have your icecast servers in a round robin

Dear all My 5 cents (or Rappen in CH) if it comes to serving many clients. We are running a 4 node cluster since several years ? rock solid and w/o any issues. This cluster serves many thousands of listeners from all over the world. Our source transcoder sending the audio streams to each Node. Hence, transcoding power is not an issue here. The four Nodes a geographically dispersed in 3

RMagick Resizing Issue
Hello ~ I have RMagick and file_column working in RoR. In my model I am setting up some standard sizes for the submitted photos. The photo files are created and named correctly, but the sizes are wrong. Only the second argument of my geometry call is used, with the width dimension being resized proportionately. file_column :image, :magick => { :versions => { "medium" =>

File column and rmagick not creating resizing some images
I am new to RoR. I am trying to use file_column and rmagick to resize images uploaded to my RoR app. The problem is that only images larger than the dimensions specified in my code will resize. For instance, if the uploaded image is 98x98, then the new images will remain that size. How can I enlarge images using file_column and rmagick? Here is the code in my model: file_column

Problem resizing partition of nfs volume
Hi: I have an NFS volume that I'm trying to resize a partition on. Something about the fdisk process is corrupting something on the drive Before running fdisk, I can mount the volume find: $ mount /dev/sdo1 /home ... and the volume is mounted fine. And, $ e2fsck -f /dev/sdo1 /dev/sdo1: clean, ... But then I run fdisk to rewrite the partition table of this drive, to expand the /dev/sdo1

Having trouble with a remote-crop-then-resize using attachment fu =(
Basically, I''m trying to crop multiple images out of a remote/original scene.. Think flickr ''tagging'', only, the pixs in the tagged boxes become their own unique images.. by way of simulating an upload from the controller using attachment fu.. can''t quite figure out the specific method in fu that would allow me to do this.. I''m so near the edge right

Resizing a PV that belongs within a Volume Group?
Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to extend (ie: grow) a PV that is part of a Volume Group? I currently have a partition on my HD that is being used as a PV for my Volume Group, but would like to make it larger. I have the space on my drive to extend my partition, but using standard tools (ex: gparted, Partition Magic, etc) would likely end up corrupting the data on in the Logical Volumes

file_column imagemagick strangeness
Hi, I''m using the basic magick features of file_column, and while files are uploading fine without the magick options, as soon as I do something like :magick => { :size => "400x600" } I get an ''invalid file'' error. Further investigation reveals that the file is in fact invalid because something somewhere is truncating the file path:

resize images
Hi, I am looking for the best solution to resize images to fit within a certain area. The images will only be made smaller if they will not fit within a fixed size area. It is important to maintain the same proportions. This ImageMagick extension looks promising: http://vantulder.net/rails/magick/ However, I believe it may be overkill for just resizing images sometimes. I have also seen a
