Need advice on 3rd party repository
Hello, I am looking for some advice on a way to update some packages to newer releases than are available in the standard CentOS repositories. Specifically, I am trying to update apache and PHP to conform to "Scanalert"'s "Hacker Safe" website security scan, and the required versions do not exist in the CentOS repositories. I'm using CentOS 5. I wish to stay

CentOS based router dropping connections
Hello, I am trying to figure out a problem I'm having using CentOS on a machine as a router. The short story is: any traffic routed through the router seems to get disconnected at random occasionally. The hardware setup is: I have two switches, the router sits between them, the webserver on the LAN switch. The machine I'm using for the router is a Dell 860 1U rackmount with two NICs,

OT: Grandstream, call pickup, ...
Maybe it's just me, but I get the impression that Grandstream is quite uncooperative. We (and others) have asked them multiple times to make the call- pickup code ("**") configurable but either they don't understand the request or they're unwilling to do anything about it. http://forums.grandstream.com/node/2848 http://forums.grandstream.com/node/709 Unfortunately their

service --status-all hangs CentOS-4.6?
Is there a problem with running # service --status-all as root over ssh? A system that I performed this command upon has become non-responsive on all ports, leading me to conclude that it is either hung or the cpu is completely consumed with some task. Can't configure GDM after update to CentOS 7.6
Hi, It looks like the upgrade to CentOS 7.6 has been unusually disruptive with the GNOME desktop version bump and a series of moving targets under the hood. The result is some wreckage at my client's desktop installations, which I've been busy to repair since yesterday. First things first. I have a custom configuration of GDM, which consists mainly of two things. 1. Display my

RE: [Patch][RFC] Support "xm dump" (is Re: Re: [Patch]Enable "sysrq c" handler for domU coredump)

CentOS 6 SCL - httpd24 still being updated?
Hello, Specifically this is in reference to RHSA-2017:2483, which should increment the httpd24 packages to 25-9 in the SCL. The SA was released on August 16th 2017, so it has some age to it, but there's no corresponding CESA on it and the SCL for 6 still sits at the previous, 25-8. Diskdump on a Logical Volume.
Alle, I'm trying to setup diskdump on a FJ E7110 notebook. Disk partitions were auto configured, using /dev/hda1 for /boot and /dev/hda2 for VolGroup00 (LogVol00 (/) and LogVol01 (swap)). Can diskdump be configured to use the logical swap volume? When I try to do the setup, the following occurs: [root at HOST sysconfig]# service diskdump initialformat Formatting dump device:
