ISO as CDROM
I have a laptop that has no CDROM, so I have to use an ISO. Anyway, I use to be able to mount the ISO at /media/cdrom and wine would recognize it as a cdrom. Now, when I try the same thing it doesn't recognize it as a cdrom. I have added /media/cdrom as a cdrom in winecfg, but still no luck. Can someone help me out, because this is the only thing preventing me from using my program (damn DRM).

Ubuntu 18:04 not getting 'home' directory from DC
Hello, I've been trying to get Ubuntu 18.04 to work with Samba AD, seems I am almost there but am unable to get home directories to mount properly.  The domain join went without a problem but because the default cifs ver changed in Ubuntu to get other Samba shares on a samba file server to mount I had to add to it's smb.conf: client min protocol = SMB2 client min protocol = SMB3 So

Ubuntu 18:04 not getting 'home' directory from DC
Rowland, How would I find this info? Check if 'Rachel Jones' has a 'gecos' attribute in AD. You seem to be being denied access to '.Xauthority', was it created on another machine ? No However, I am sure '-13' usually means incorrect password. I am sure the password is correct, the /mnt/home/rachel folder is created but the user files are not created because

Sorry for the delayed response, Louis, I'm not sure how to tell about having "cifs/UPN" - Please advise. I was able to mount with sec=krb5 after the user is logged in but that does not help getting "home" mounted during the login. But here is where I am now: I have been able to pam_mount "home" during the login but could not get the ACLs during the mount

[Fwd: Re: extlinux reports "./extlinux: path /media/disk doesn't match device /dev/sda4"]
How often is this the case ? ??? > If extlinux is the system bootloader, then often what you call the > system partition will be the one that should have extlinux installed on it. I think in most cases people try to make _some_other_ disk bootable. If I boot with extlinux as the bootloader why should I want to install it again ? Apart from that it would then require -u not -i. [Fwd: Re: extlinux reports "./extlinux: path /media/disk doesn't match device /dev/sda4"]
The problem as I view it, lies in specifying a directory rather than a drive ( /mnt/.. or /media.. instead of /dev/sdb.. or /dev/sdc.. ). If, for instance, /dev/sdb1 is in fact mounted to /media/disk all is fine. If the path exists and is not a mountpoint ( /dev/sd... not mounted to it ), then extlinux will set the system disk as base for the directory. ( i.e. /media/disk = /dev/sda4 in my
