Multiple Models one form and validations ... no transactions(mongo)
I am trying to setup a sigup form thats pretty much just like the basecamp form. https://signup.37signals.com/basecamp/Plus/signup/new I want to create a User a Studio and a Subscription(chargify) a Subscription belongs to a Studio and not to a User. User gets tagged onto a Studio via an admin array. Is there any way to do this all in one form and still get back validation errors etc without

Transactions for multiple models
I have users and companies tables where users belongs_to companies. def signup @company = Company.new(params[:company]) @user = User.new(params[:company]) @user.company = @company if @user.valid? and @company.valid? @company.save @user.save end end How can I make this into a transaction? Is this a candidate for a distributed transaction? If so, from what I understand from the API,

GlobalsAA from GVN
>You could, in the LTO pipeline, reinsert GlobalsAA after the SLPVectorizer (not saying you should). I didn't realise that adding GlobalsAA* after* SLPVectorizer could help. Thanks for this tip. >There is something fishy. Do you have a test case that reproduce with llvm-lto? I'm currently looking at a proprietary benchmark. I'll try to extract out a simple test case and send it.

rake spec controller test output hideus.
Is there any way to change the output of rake spec fails? The errors are just totally over the top ugly and not helpful. First of all the ruby -Ilib line always comes before each test and I find it distracting. But if an error occurs on something that is not nil it just gives me the entire contents of that object and that is no small matter when the object is a HTTP request response. Here is

GlobalsAA from GVN
Hi Mehdi, Thank you for the response. I'm actually on an LTO setup and was referring to PassManagerBuilder::addLTOOptimizationPasses. Here, GlobalsAA is scheduled to run well ahead of SLPVectorizer. However since GlobalsAA is a module pass, it runs once and a bunch of passes, including SLPVectorizer is run for each function. When one of them invalidates the analysis, rest of the functions do

Invoking virsh console from Java
Hello, I have a Java application from which I am invoking the "virsh console" command to access the console of a VM. I invoke the virsh command using ProcessBuilder.start(). However, I am unable to communicate with the stdin of the VMs console through the OutputStream of the Process object. When I invoke "virsh console" from within Java, I see the following messages on

Thank you both for the inputs. I've created a patch for the same, please review: http://reviews.llvm.org/D15185 >You can specifically insert it into the pass pipeline, but in this case, we should just fix SLP to preserve the analysis. @Hal, I tried doing this but it didn't seem to work. I added the GlobalsAA pass right before GVN but it didn't seem to help. In retrospect, looking

Xen 4.0 on Debian - Kernel 2.6.32.8 with L7-Filter
Hi All Is it possible to add the l7 patch http://l7-filter.sourceforge.net/ to the Xen Kernel Tree. I want to make sure this will not cause any problems with the system. I also wonder if http://www.linuximq.net/ kernel patch is also compatible. If someone can advise this it will be great Thanks Sassy _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list

Rails and WebSockets
I''m thinking of starting on a Ruby website that uses WebSockets, and perhaps working some on a server for it beforehand. Is good support for asynchronous connections something I could work on adding to the Rails core? Is it feasible? Desired? As I understand it, Rails plugins like Juggernaut [1] aren''t going to optimally support async, since they can''t re-architecture
