named route new_session not working
Anyone have any idea why a named route would NOT work? I did rake routes to make sure it was there and it was but for some reason new_session doesn''t work. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. Could anybody kindly add statically linked icecast 2.2.0 download to www.icecast.org?
This is important to Debian users -- packets exists only for testing and unstable version of Debian Linux.

how can I identify disconnect due to low <queue-size>
1. How can I identify disconnect due to low <queue-size>. Suppose, I have enabled loglevel=4 (debug). Suppose, I have network jam. What shall I see at error.log? 2. Is it possible to mark reason of disconnect at standard access/error log at level 2 (warn)? That is, when disconnect is FORCED by server, this will be marked at level 2 (warn) or may be even 1(error).

[Bridge] persistent settings
Google did not turn up much on this so I figured I would come to the source. I got my bridge working great. I wanted to know, how do I make the setting persistent? So when I reboot the machine, the bridge comes up and is operational automatically. Basically I followed the directions off of the site. I am not running STP. My bridge does have a private ip. Thanks, Hugh

Named routes in controller not working?
I have some "redirect_to"s using named routes in a controller that work fine in the browser, but choke my tests. The route in question is "new_session" and comes from a "map.resource :session, :controller => :session" route mapping. If I replace the named route in the controller with controller/action the tests run just fine, but for some reason it doesn''t

[login_generator] implementing login limits
I have a simple Rails app that I am close to deploying on our intranet. The security model is "either you are an admin or your are not," with the method of implementing this model being done by the login_generator 1.1.0. There is one account set up, ''admin'', with three of us having the ability to logon with this username (i.e. we know the password). I am looking to

manual access to session data outside of request?
So, given a sessionID, I have need to read and write the session stored information ''manually'', from _outside_ an actual Rails request/controller. Readers, I know your first response may be to tell me I don''t really want to do that. Trust me though, I really do, it makes sense for me in my case. I know this wouldn''t work if you''re using the new cookie

Newb question- method not working
I know this shouldn''t be in the view but to test the code it is. Anyway if I do just session[user] I get back the user id (the id from the user table) which is good. However this code does not work. <% a = session[:user] %> <% uname = User.find(:first, :conditions => id = a) %> <%= @uname %> TIA Stuart

update or alter cart
I want to modify and update the items in the Depot - "display_cart". Since the cart is in a session, its a little hard to get at the data. I just want to create a way to change quantities, prices and recalculate. Has someone done this, and could you point me to the right direction. Thanks Chas -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.
