Cached message size larger than expected
Hi guys,
I recently turned on IMAP zlib compression for Maildir and noticed that
I've started getting these errors in the maillog.

Random procmail filter failures.
Hi all,
I'm seeing a random issue with my procmail filters (only on email from
this list) where once every so often, it will fail to filter a
message. I am sorting by the to/cc email address, and this rule works
on 99.9% of posts, however every now and again, I see something like
this happen:

System Rebooted by 2.6.18-8.1.8.el5
Hello,
I have a machine that seemed to reboot by itself yesterday, in
/var/log/messages I only see:
Mar 25 14:26:45 asterisk shutdown[19256]: shutting down for system reboot
When I type: last reboot
I see:
reboot system boot 2.6.18-8.1.8.el5 Tue Mar 25 14:28 (18:41)
So it seems like the kernel rebooted, but I'm not sure how I can track
down why, any pointers?
Thanks!

Xen Version update policy
The latest bunch of test packages are available here:
http://au1.mirror.crc.id.au/repo/el8/x86_64/
Hopefully, as of a few hours ago, this set should actually install.
Currently, networking won't work as they require brctl - which isn't in
EL8. I've written patches for this, but they'll probably end up being
part of a cleanup of everything in /etc/xen/scripts/
Problem is,

flex package marked as fc6 and no flex-devel?
Hi all,
I'm in the middle of setting up a build environment for OpenWRT and it looks
like the packages need flex.
Looking at the CentOS repositories, it looks as though the flex package is
tagged as fc6 - it also looks like there is no flex-devel package at all.
Does anyone know what the go is here?

Packaging Xen 4.2.0
Hi all,
I''m trying to update my RPMs of 4.1.3 to work with 4.2.0, but I''m having
some interesting problems with the packaging side of things.
in 4.1.3, xenpaging was being built as /usr/sbin/xenpaging, however in
4.2.0 it is being built as /usr/lib/xen/bin/xenpaging.
I''m currently using the following configure options in my .spec:
./configure --libdir=/%{_libdir}

How to load load multiple text files and order by id
Hello R users,
I am fairly new to R and was hoping you could point me in the right
direction I have a set of text files (36).
Each file has only two columns (id and count) , I am trying to figure out a
way to load all the files together and
then have them ordered by id into a matrix data frame. For example
If each txt file has :
ID count
id_00002 20
id_00003 3

how many people still use NIS?
Hello listmates,
I have discovered a very strange SFTP problem which I can not connect to
anything but NIS thus far. See here:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-server-73/sftp-seems-to-fail-for-nis-accounts-under-openssh-5-x-816020/
http://readlist.com/lists/suse.com/suse-linux-e/38/193419.html
Hence the question: is NIS (YP) still in use much anywhere for
authentication?
Thanks.

Hi all,
I've just migrated my mail system from procmail to managesieve/sieve and
I'm having trouble trying to duplicate a could of rules I used to use in

One particular rule would be this:

xl and autoballooning
Hi Ian (and all),
I recently came across a bug in xl autoballooning in Xen 4.2.2 that I
found mentioned way back in May 2012.
In a nutshell, I tried to create a new DomU with 1024M of memory. The
Dom0 had 3100M free:
# xl info | grep memory
total_memory : 20479
free_memory : 3100
The guest template is very simple:
# cat /etc/xen/template.vm

Attempting to checksum a non-TCP/UDP packet, dropping a protocol 1 packet
Pasi,
in http://readlist.com/lists/lists.xensource.com/xen-users/10/50495.html
you mention a netback fix without identifying which one. In going
over the changes as well as looking at the code, I can''t spot
anything related, or see how non-TCP, non-UDP packets could
pass checksum_setup(), and hence I don''t really understand how
this problem can be considered fixed (for, in the

Issues with r8169 gige on boot.
Hi all,
I've recently upgraded a system from CentOS 4.4 to CentOS5, and now
when the system boots, the r8169 ethernet card doesn't come up.
After the boot sequence, if I type "ifup eth1 | ifup eth1.10 | ifup
eth1.203" then the adapter starts up ok. It seems to be something
with the boot sequence it loads the ethernet adapters a different way
around (ie 4.4 eth0 is now

RC1 problem? (Conversation over two IAX2 streams = nasty, gappy audio)
I've been having 'gappy' audio problems with nufone for about a week now but I
think I've nailed it down.
Setup:
office* - iax2 - colo* - iax2 - nufone
office* and colo* are identical physical hardware (Xeon 2.8, dual ethernet,
solely used for Asterisk) -- they are joined together through their second
ethernet ports over a dedicated 2meg SDSL link. One hop between office* and

CentOS, RTL8196 and jumbo frames.
Hi all,
I've just upgraded my home network to a Linksys SRW2024 (with lovely
vlan trunking support!) and I'm trying to enable jumbo frames. When I
try to set the MTU of an rtl8169 based network card (it's a Netgear
RA311), it comes up with an error stating:
# ifconfig eth1 mtu 9000
SIOCSIFMTU: Invalid argument
The only options it will take are 1500 or below. Does anyone know
