home from SQL
Currently I'm using
user_query = SELECT 1000 AS uid, 1000 AS gid, '/srv/vmail/%2.256Hu/%Lu' AS home, ...
so I'm hashing based on %u (basically). But in my SQL db I have a
"unique_identifier" field, which never changes, even when the user is
changing his/her email address (due to marriage or the like).
What I'd really like to do is to use %u to find the value of the

winbind not resolving group membership changes
I'm using Samba 3.0.33 (RHEL 5) to connect to a Windows 2008 active
directory server. I am restricting SSH logins to a particular AD group.
The users allowed to login will change frequently, so it's important
to me that their group membership is updated when their access to this
server is granted or revoked. The problem that I keep running into is
that group membership on the

Blocking and compression.
I did some research on patent claims on range and arithmetic coding. The
original range code pdf presented in the UK by an ibm employee at the
time asserts no patent claims what so ever. If there are patents I cant
find em. I have the original paper in PDF if anyone cares to see it. Its
a good candidate for encoding because browsing a few of the

Intro and question
I've been using Asterisk, including administering and maintaining it, in
some aspect since 2003, but this is the first time I have attempted a
from-scratch installation and setup on my own. I'm following the
instructions in the ePub edition of the book "Asterisk, the Definitive
Guide, Fifth Edition," published by O’Reilly Media, Inc. in 2019, for

swig 1.3.35 & R - is the R wrapper still maintained and of interest?
Dear all,
I was trying to use the R swig wrapper with R 2.7 and shogun
( http://www.shogun-toolbox.org ) but it fails completely, as in doesn't
even compile and even after patching then though compiling - crashes...
So I asked on swig-users/swig-devel CC'ing the potential R maintainer
but I never received a reply. I now wonder if anyone here could help or
would be willing to maintain
