what cause session setup failed: NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE?
Hi, I activate samba on Centos 5, but I always get NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE when issuing smbclient //GIServer/GIApp -usmbuser after I enter the password to the prompt. What things should I look for to solve this? -- Best Regards, Sobari Tanuwijaya --------- Without positive attitudes, the best techniques in the world won't have much impact. --Anonymous--

Use CentOSplus to carry latest GUI packages
I don't know if this has been talked about much in the past, but I was wondering if CentOSplus could be used to carry the latest stable versions of the GUI applications KDE/Gnome. These apps often lag behind quite a bit even on the selected stable branch upstream has chosen. For example, would it decrease stability to update KDE from 3.5.4 to 3.5.8? I think it would add to stability as long

Sabayon hvm domU problems: the Windows Manager doesn't start
Hello, I set up a Sabayon Linux domU as hvm guest and I completed the installation successfully. The problem is that when KDE is going to start, I see a blank screen. I use vncviewer but I don''t think this problem is related to vnc. Then I''ve read the minimal system requirements and I have seen this: 1) i686 Processor (starting from AMD K6 and Intel Pentium II) 2) 512 MB of RAM

Change from gnome to KDE desktop
What's the best way to do this? Remove the yum group gnome (does this set default init to 3?), install the yum group KDE and then set default init to 5 again (as I assume installing KDE not during the setup will not automatically set the system to start the gui?). [PATCH speexdsp] Don't rely on HAVE_STDINT_H et al. being defined
From: Tanu Kaskinen <tanu.kaskinen at linux.intel.com> Not everyone who includes speexdsp_config_types.h will have a test which defines those, and if we've chosen to use the stdint types at configure time then we know exactly which header(s) are available, so just choose the best one then and generate the header to use it. This patch, including the above text, is copied from a commit

Thanks !! But if i generate a .bc file like this and then run my pass over it like this : opt -load /home/llvm-cvs/llvm/Debug/lib/LLVMHello.so -hello <helloprog.bc> class_prog.bc Will the new .bc file (class_prog.bc) be also without optimizations ?opt also does some optimizations. Can I control them ? Announce: KDE User Manager does smbpasswd.
Hi, I'd like to announce a beta patch to the KDE user manager (kuser) that integrates the management of the smbpasswd encrypted password file with the existing password file. The eventual target audience is administrators installing Samba based PDC's, or other applications where an encrypted smbpasswd file needs to be managed using graphical tools not too dissimilar

CentOS 7 and display managers
<rant> Dear gnome developers - could you *possibly* be more anti-Unix? I mean, thanks *so* much for trying to turn Linux into Windows or Macs.... </rant> So, now that I've gotten that out, the KDE display manager, on the login screen, easily lets you choose window managers. Gnome utterly refuses to consider such an idea. I've just yum groupinstall "KDE Plasma

CentOS 7.5 gui login root only
Taking first steps on CentOS 7 1804. Logging into the Gnome/Gnome classic desktop from gdm works only for root. For other users, the screen flashes and the login screen returns. KDE/Plasma login is successful but ends up with a black screen with mouse pointer while all desktop processes appear to be running. The CentOS 7 system is running in a CentOS6 KVM virtual machine, which may be the

[LLVMdev] Branching to Entry block
Thanks a lot for replying...but I am not doing any deleting or removing node ...I am trying to insert a "new" entry node in an existing list. In another reply I understood (also mentioned on the site) that no other block can branch to the entry block. How do I achieve this ? Is it feasible?Let me know if there is any example. Thanks for the reply. I wish to compile without optimizations ( the option being turned off ) but still generate bytecode file.
