Pseudo resource routes
I added a route mapper called facebook_resources. This allows you to create pseudo-resource routes. Since everything is a POST in Facebook, you can''t identify routes using HTTP verbs. Each route is prefixed with its action, except for index. Example: map.facebook_resources :profiles Will give you the following named routes: new_profile POST /profiles/new profiles POST

Nested Routes + Facebook Resources
Does anyone have nested routes working with the facebook_resources method? My routes.rb has: map.facebook_resources :users do |users| users.facebook_resources :images users.facebook_resources :connections end but user_connections_url won''t generate. "rake routes" gives me: new_user POST /users/new {:action=>"new",

rails "path_prefix" produces no correct verb route evaluation
Hi guys! ;) If you set "routes.rb" as: map.resources :pocoyo You have RESTful rails routes facilites. Ok, let''s focus on these two maps: "http://domain.com/pocoyo" [GET] is mapped to "pocoyo" controller and "index" action. "http://domain.com/pocoyo" [POST] is mapped to "pocoyo" controller and "create"

Routing errors with Rails 3.0.1 and Rspec 2.0.1
I''m sure something is borked in my app, but I can''t seem to track it down. A few commits back, my app was fully passing my spec suite. It was on Rails 3.0.0 and Rspec 2.0.0.beta.20. I''ve now upgraded to rails 3.0.1 and rspec 2.0.1 Now, I''m getting tons, and I mean tons of failures that say things like, to take a simple case: 113) SiteController GET

RSpec raising routing errors where Rails doesn''t?
Hopefully someone here can help me figure out why the ERB: <% form_for(@fund, :url => {:host => PRIVATE_HOST}, :html => {:class => ''fund'', :multipart => true}) do |f| %> raises an error in my specs: No route matches {:action=>"index"} but works fine in my app and generates the following, desired HTML: <form

rake errors
Folks, I have a rake task that runs via cron and calls a controller action. I was getting the ''config/boot.rb:28:Warning: require_gem is obsolete'' warning, so I ran rake update:rails. Now I''m getting a whole bunch of errors and the rake task bombs. The traceback on the errors doesn''t seem to make much sense to me. Help? rake task... require

Rake Routes Blank on upgrade to Rails 3
I have just upgraded an app to rails 3 following the railscast screencast. I have installed a blank application inside the app to be upgraded with: rails new . I have replaced all the the main files. When I run rake routes I get no output. routes.rb: App::Application.routes.draw do resources :products end (ie, just the default file with an example uncommented) I have tried a number of

File upload problem with enctype
Hi All, I''m having a problem with a simple file upload page. I''ve narrowed it down to the enctype attribute of the form tag. Here''s my form: <form action="/app1/gpxdata/upload_gpxfile" method="POST" enctype="multipart/form-data" > <input type="file" size="50" id="gpxfile" /> <input

Devise confusing routes
I had a similar problem yesterday. I would go to the root of my site and I would get a Too Many Redirects message. It seems like there was an infinite loop. After struggling for over an hour yesterday late at night, it seemed like I fixed it. But now, when I want to create a New User, it''s redirecting me to the Sign In screen. Seems like I didn''t fix the problem completely. I

Urls generated by nested map.resources
Hi, Apologies if this has been answered before. I have just started to try out the new RESTful routes. For resources that aren''t related to anything else, everything makes sense - for resources with relationships, I am less certain of what the "right" thing to do - especially in relation to the urls produced, and how to modify those urls. For example, if I have teams and
