Trouble with rvm (Ruby Version Manager)
Hi--
Am having trouble with rvm. Successfully installed it, but when I
tried to install Ruby 1.8.7, here is the error I got:
Paul-Denlingers-MacBook-Pro:~ pdenlinger$ rvm install 1.8.7
-bash: rvm: command not found
Tried closing terminal, quitting terminal, opening another tab, etc.
but continued to get same error.
What to do?
Thanks!

Does anyone know why?

Problem using rvm in bash script
I am using rvm installed on Ubuntu 10.04 as recommended in the rvm
docs (including changes to .bashrc) and all is working well with
several versions of Rails, and Ruby 1.8.7 and 1.9.2.
If I run
rvm use 1.9.2
it says
Using /home/colinl/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.2-p0
and if I run
rvm info
It shows exactly what I would expect for 1.9.2 and I can start the
rails server and all is well.
The problem arises if

capistrano can''t find svn
I''m trying to get capistrano to deploy to an osx machine - rake
remote:cold_deploy but it fails on the svn co line with
"bash: line 2: svn: command not found"
I''ve set the proper path to svn (/usr/local/bin) in both .bash_profile
and .bash_login but capistrano seems to be ignoring these.
How does capistrano know where to look for svn?
Thanks

Trouble with Ruby on Rails
Some background info: I am an OS X user, and my MAC system is OS X
10.6.8(snow leopard).
@1st problem (regarding Ruby on Rails installation):
I have installed ruby "1.9.2" with RVM. When I typed "ruby -v" command
in terminal after installation, it says that the ruby version I have
is "1.8.7". Strange, isn''t it? So, I have tried "rvm use 1.9.2"

Struggling with Jruby Rails + jdbc driver
hi all,
I am having a hard time trying to find out what''s wrong with my setup. It
used to work smoothly until I decided out of the blue to do a selfupdate
and upgrade outdated on MacPort, then things started going south very
quickily.
Since MacPort kinda broke, I pull it all out and re-install the ports I
have before, which went pretty smoothly. Then to my surprise any command I

Completely broken rails install on OSX
Hi
I am new to rails and I was trying to get version 2.1.1 installed so
that I could run lovdbyless and play with Rails to see what it was
like. When trying to install lovdbyless I kept getting problems when
running "rake" so I looked around for an answer and did what the
forums said, and then i''d get another error and i''d go through the
same process. Now I am getting
