Re: install issues
Are you trying to install the 64-bit or the 32-bit? While the install is running, some of the other virtual consoles display logs and error information. What do those show when the install rejects your disk? What result did you get trying from the HTTP install? -----Original Message----- From: centos-bounces at centos.org [mailto:centos-bounces at centos.org] On Behalf Of William Warren Sent:

request for hosting ( London, UK )
Hi Chaps, A couple of Sun Netra t105 have been donated to the CentOS Project. The machines are located in London and I was wondering if anyone in the area might be able to host these machines for us ? They come with 19" rack rails. We would need access to some - but not a whole lot of - bandwidth. We plan on using these machines in developer roles, for code testing and sandbox builds.

What is the System Event Log?
My Dell PowerEdge T105 running Centos-5.2 has started crashing fairly often (3 times in the last 2 hours). The message on the screen tells me to look at the System Event Log. Is this just /var/log/messages ? I didn't see anything helpful there. As far as I could see, the last messages before the crash were about samba, which is running on the machine. Has anyone had such problems with Samba?

failure to start httpd after today update
Hello, I ran today update of my CentOS 6.9 running on Dell T105 (AMD OPTERON) and httpd failed to start. Any idea what could cause that? I never had a problem after CentOS 6.x update. Web server runs since March 2017. I do updates usually once in a week. Thank you Mikhail Utin

Anyone Using a Dell PowerEdge T105 in Production
Unbeatable price for a low end Asterisk server (or any server for that matter) http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&cs=04&kc=6W300&l=en&oc=bednv4k&s=bsd I wonder if anyone has any experience with this box and Digium or Sangoma hardware? Any compatibility issues? If not, I might stock up on them. Thanks, Steve Totaro -------------- next part

Yum-updatesd not functioning
I have a couple of CentOS 5.1 boxes, mostly i386, but a couple x86_64, some real, some virtual. On all of them, I have yum-updatesd configured to emit via email to root. Here is a sample yum-updatesd.conf from one of them: [main] # how often to check for new updates (in seconds) run_interval = 14400 # how often to allow checking on request (in seconds) updaterefresh = 600 # how to send

Channels ID / Soft Hang Up
Hello, I am wanting to close a specific channel for example; SofthangUp(SIP/EXTEN-UNIQUEID) but the problem is the channel is assigned a unique id as well. The need fits into the idea of receiving a call from a higher status user and thus closing a specific channel to allow the higher priority call to route through the dial plan to the freed extension. Any ideas welcome. Many thanks

FreeBSD 9 and PERC H200
I got a Dell T110-II server on 2013-July-19. It has two 1Tbyte drives that the PERC H200 controls, RAID 1. I tried to install FreeBSD-9.1-RELEASE from a DVD from FreebsdMall. The autopart segfaulted, evidently because it could not find any disks. I think there is a PR about the segfaulting (bad bug, no messages). I worked around the problem by going to the loader prompt when the initial

[SelectionDAG] Assertion due to MachineMemOperand flags difference.
Hello, I've hit an assertion in SelectionDAG where we try to merge 2 loads that have the same operands but their MMO flags differ. One is dereferenceable and one is not. I'm not sure what the underlying issue here is: 1) MDSDNode with the same operands should have the same flags set on their respective MMO. The fact the flags differ when the opcode, types, operands and address-space are

PCI passthrough, poor network performance in upload direction
Hi all, I have been having an issue for over a year with several Xen installations and have not been able to find out if this is just something I am missing. Basically I am trying to configure a firewall with two ethernet cards in a domU using pci passthrough. I am hiding the Ethernet cards at boot time via the pciback.hide kernel option. Right now I am running Xen 3.3.0 and the two Ethernet

Problem with CentOS server: am I running a firewall?
I recently tried to swap server from an ancient Asus PIII machine running Fedora-8 to a Dell PowerEdge T105 running Centos-5.1 . Unfortunately, I have not been able to set it up to allow local machines to access the internet. I can access the internet directly from the server (which connects to an ADSL modem) but not from a laptop connected to the server through an ethernet hub or WiFi router.

FW: Memory Problem
I am sure this has been covered before, but I can find it in my archives. I loaded up a new server IBM x3650, 2x Intel dual core cpu's I installed additional RAM to take it up to 7 gigs according to http://www.centos.org/product.html#seven CentOS 5 x86 which I am using supports up to 16gigs of RAM. Once I boot up CentOS only see's about 3.2Gigs of Ram. I installed the kernel-PAE
