Hello I have compiled php on a server, but want to upgrade and recompile it with new features. is rpmbuild or rpmrebuild capable of compiling or adding these new features ? or I should download the source and run ./configure again ? what about yum ? it was great if yum or rpmbuild could save the current config and just add the new extensions. I originally tried to modify Xsession to include xpop /path/to/text_to_dispay as the first executable line, but that didn't work. ok - I tried this too. But CentOS tries to find the floppy as /dev/hda which is not the device for the USB-Floppy. Dell ships one with the server because no one is integrated. Hi, I have to install this server with an Intel motherboard ASUS, model P5VDC-MX. It has a VIA hardware RAID controller model VT-8251. The two hard drives are SATA (don't know if II) and are Maxtor STM380211AS. Problem is that CentOS installation doesn't recognize any hard drives at all. The BIOS setup doesn't have an option to turn off SATA. Any ideas ? Thanks in advance. --

I have the Adobe (Macromedia) flash player installed on my CentOS 4.4 x86_64 system, but when I try to play a flash movie in SeaMonkey (or Firefox - doesn't matter) I get no sound.
