CentOS 5 and seamonkey
Has anyone had any success in rebuilding seamonkey 2.0.4 for CentOS 5 (32-bit)? I'm currently running seamonkey-2.0-1 which I rebuilt last November. Sadly, I have no idea where the SRPM originated. I found seamonkey-2.0.4-1.fc12.src.rpm and seamonkey-2.0.4-1.fc12.src.rpm, downloaded and got to 0th base: [rj at madeleine Downloads]$ rpmbuild --rebuild

nspluginwrapper included in CentOS 5.2 fails completely
I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. I run CentOS 5.2 x86_64 on my workstation at home. Since 5.2 came out with nepluginwrapper bundled into it, none of my plugins work. I thought it was just a problem with the flash plugin, but neither the mplayerplug-in plugins nor the adobe acrobat reader plugin work, either. I have this problem both with the Seamonkey contributed 64-bit build

VMWare Server doesn't like new CentOS installation?
I just got a nice, shiny new machine at work, a Core 2 Duo, on which I just finished installing CentOS 5.2 with a fair number of packages, SeaMonkey 1.1.10, Adobe Reader 8.0, Adobe Flash 9.0, mplayer, mplayerplug-in (both from rpmforge), and I think that was it. Then I went and got the latest VMWare Server, 1.0.7, from VMWare, pulled down their rpm, installed it, and ran vmware-config.pl, which

Difficulties with Seamonkey plugins on 5.2
Has anyone else noticed this? I've been running a self-built, working 64-bit version of Seamonkey's 2.01a pre-release (alpha) version for the last six or seven months (because the "contributed" unofficial 64-bit build didn't work right and the official 32-bit release crashed all the time), and it's been working relatively well until recently, particularly in the area of

Multimedia on Centos 5
Dear friends: Is there a single source for the multimedia applications that are not included with Centos 5: RealPlayer, Mplayer, mplayerplug-in, Acrobat Reader, Java, libdvdcss, etc.? Would appreciate your help. Thank you so much. Benjamin -- Sher's Russian Web http://www.websher.net Benjamin Sher sher07 at mindspring.com

RPMforge mplayerplug-in seems to be locking up my sound device
Got home from vacation last night and ran yum update. Among other things installed was mplayerplug-in-3.25-1.el4.rf ... now any time I attempt to view CNN video, my sound device locks up -- I eventually end up having to kill firefox, and anything thereafter that attempts to access sound (such as system-config-soundcard) also ends up wedged. Previously this only happened sporadically and after

Seamonkey and flash-plugin
Hello! I like using Seamonkey; I have v1.1.13 on Centos. It works with flash-plugin-10.0.12.36-release.i386.rpm. On my home computer, I have Fedora Core 9; Seamonkey + flash-plugin used to work with the same version combination above. Unfortunately, I updated Seamonkey to v1.1.15, and every time I go to a site (ex. http://www.wtopnews.com/ ) that's a flash user, Seamonkey crashes.

i386 and x86_64 depsolver issue with Seamonkey
CentOS uses the yum dependency solver for doing updates and not the RHN (normal) up2date mechanism. That is functionality built into up2date. Due to this difference, there is a problem with the Seamonkey upgrade to replace Mozilla using up2date on CentOS-4, because it does not see Seamonkey as obsoleting Mozilla. (This is a problem with the yum depsolver that is included in up2date). Due to

Seamonkey
I saw the latest update announcements on the announce list, so I ran "yum check-update" and did not see seamonkey in the list. Which I guess makes sense, since it's a name change from mozilla. However, devhelp is in the list, and "yum update devhelp" pulls in seamonkey as a dependency. This seems like a sort of backdoor way to get seamonkey onto the system. Did these

Does it not work in 64 bit? Did I miss something? Anyone else have flash going on amd64? I thought you put the files in the above directory and restart. Didn't work for me. Jerry
