VPNC article
I have put the article on the wiki at
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/vpnc
I wasn't sure where to put in the main table of contents. In the end, I
put it under security, using the FreeBSD ports as an example.
It could have also gone under Network.
As far as its actual location, as you can see from the link above, I
just put it directly under howtos.

vpnc versus Shorewall problem
Hi everybody,
I have been using Shorewall for quite a while now but I recently
stumbled over a new setup that stopped me cold. I don''t know how to
proceed:
I have an ordinary GNU/Linux box (2.6.11) connected to a nonpublic
network with one interface eth0 which gets an IP through DHCP like
172.17.x.y. Traffic is not routed to the Internet in this subnet. In
order to connect to the

What kind of problem you are facing while doing this? Please explain that.
There are many howto's on this topic, please do some search on "*vpnc setup
for centos 7*" first then post.

cisco vpn client on linux
Is there a cisco vpn client for linux centso 5 AMD 64 bit?
Using google it talks about cisco vpn client but everyplace to download
is blocked.
I then found a vpnc reference but did not find a 64 bit version.
yum install vpnc did nothing....
What is my next step?

USB Wireless device for CentOS?
I need to get a wireless device for an upcoming trip (USB is
preferable to PCMCIA for a long list of reasons) and I'm wondering if
anyone has any experience with or recommendations for such items,
particularly which ones work with Linux/CentOS. Right now I'm
debating between a reasonably cheap Belkin 54G and a slightly more
expensive Netgear 54G.
Thanks.

openvpn client and KDE Network Manager - with CentOS7
Hi All,
I am switching from Fedora20 to CentOS7 since I now run all my Linux
development in a VM and I get a more robust feature set (i.e. shared
folders with the host that "just work", etc)
The only issue I have thus far is VPN connections. Looking at what's
installed on my old Fedora install I suspect I need these packages:
kde-plasma-nm-vpnc
kde-plasma-nm-openvpn

short vpnc article
Akemi-san has suggested that I turn the following post into a wiki
article.
(The article would be a bit better organized, since if one bothers to
follow the thread, you'll see that I found that one can use the pcf2vpnc
in Dag's rpm without worrying about having a plain text password.)

Default source address
Hi,
I''m using vpnc to connect to a vpn.
The VPN-GW wants me to use him as a default route. So I used
source-routing to differ between my physical ethernet and the tunnel:
ip rule add from w.x.y.z table 20
ip route add default via tun0 table 20
Everything works fine, as I have a client to set my inet4-srcaddress.
My question is: Is there a way, to tell linux which is my default

iran
Hey everyone ,
I'm using tinc from iran , and i've been using tinc with tcponly for a few
years now , to bypass the filtering , and have access to the free internet
, but recently , our government started to apply some sort of exotic
filtering scheme , they've completely blocked outgoing and incoming ssh
requests , and ssl encrypted packets , and the only thing allowed is https

Cisco PIX vpn software
Anyone got a resource on setting up a CentOS box to connect to a Cisco PIX 5xx VPN using IPSec? I don't know if it matters but an important part of functionality would be split tunneling, I need to maintain that from the windows side of functionality.
Thanks!

VPN-Clients
There is a SonicWall Pro 2040 to which I successfully established a VPN tunnel under
Windows XP using SonicWall VPN client.
Now, I'm looking for a way to establish a VPN tunnel to the same SonicWall device under
Linux.
Installing the SonicWall VPN client under wine 0.9.27 failed ans as far as I understand
a posting of 2006 it's doubtful if this type of software will ever be installable

VPN connection before login
I imagine something like Cisco AnyConnect on Windows, where you can connect before login to the machine. So afterwards user specific network shares are available and can be connect via scripts.
I have an openvpn server running.
