CentOS 5.0 install fails every time.
Hey all,
I've downloaded the latest CentOS 5.0 and the md5sums look good. I
loop-back mounted the ISOs and pulled all of the RPMs out into a
single dir. I have an existing PXE environment with several different
distros to which I added 5.0. RPMs are served from my HTTPS server.
I used the isolinux.cfg that was provided and all *looks* good.
The problem is that on 4 *very* different

RE: Back to 3.0.1, Winbind and Solaris 9 (Mike Dorofe ev )
Hi Mike,
Thanks for replying! I have tried that but I still have the same problem.
I think that PAM is doing its job, I've set up logging so that everything in
pam.conf logs to /var/log/pamlog. In pamlog I see "user 'ganguly' granted
access".
There is something else that is stopping this working, I just can't see what
it is. Any ideas?

winbindd- confused about when to use
Hello:
I come to Samba with a strong Unix background but weak on the MS
networking side. Hence I've read a lot of the Samba documentation, more
than once... Something that continues to confuse me, however, is
whether or not I want/need winbindd for the task at hand.
Objective: replace aged NT4 domain/file server w/Samba based file
server.
Details:
1) approx. 25 users. stable staff

Author wanted for Dovecot article in Linux Magazine (Germany)
Hi list,
I am an editor at the German Linux Magazine and I am searching for an author or input on Dovecot,
its advantages and especially the recent features. I had organized some authors, but unfortunately
they don't have time right now. :-) Nevertheless I heard many positive comments on Dovecot.
I can write or help writing the article, but I would love to have some input from an
