[rspec-rails] Is it bad form to use spec/requests/*_spec.rb for integration tests?
So I wanted to cook up a quick integration test for something, and I''m using rspec. I personally just don''t like Cucumber - just a personal preference, not a slam to the test framework at all - and wanted to stick to just pure rspec. So I dumped a quick spec file in spec/ reqests and ran it, and of course everything works. But is this considered bad form, or a less-than-good

[Rails 3.2] accepts_nested_attributes_for and time_select
Hi, I am upgrading a Rails application from Rails 3.1.11 to 3.2.12, but have a problem with ` accepts_nested_attributes_for` in conjunction with multipart attributes. The app is used to manage oral exams, so there is a model `Exam`, which has many `Examdate`s. When creating an exam, I can also create the examdates, consisting of a date, a start time and an end time. While the date field is

Create and join two models in one form (HABTM)
What is the best approach for using one form to create two different models and join them? I''m working with a HABTM relationship. For example a project HABTM services and vice versa. I''ve tried using accepts_nested_attributes_for which seems to work when I''m creating a project and using a service that already exists. When the service is new it tries to join the newly

Nested Model Forms
I''m trying to get a multi level nested form model working but have hit a problem. In one of my models, I have a habtm association and it''s throwing an error on a nested form and these are check boxes with a method of ''time_unit_ids[]''. The nested forms work without the habtm (time_unit_ids[]) so things are pretty much set up okay. Here''s the set up
