Hide an image in show.html.erb
I have the following "show.html.erb" script, and I get as an output TWO
images since I use a method to draw an image.
How can I HIDE the RESOURCE image?

ActiveScaffold and partials
I was thinking of doing partials as I did in the simple Rails
application I worked on today.
But, since I''m using ActiveScaffold, I didn''t find any *.html.erb in the
views folder of the Rails application that I need to make my partials!
How can I work with partials in ActiveScaffold?

how to remove ID from stylesheet_link_tag?
When I use stylesheet_link_tag, the results come back with a timestamp
ID, like this:
<link href="/stylesheets/style.css?1154009736" media="screen"
rel="Stylesheet" type="text/css" />
I don''t want the query string and ID on the end, but I can''t see how to
disable this in the docs. How do I do this?

Setting a root_url
I know how to setup a roo_url using map.root in "routes.rb".

Compress css files with Rails
Hi,
I work on a website with many css files. To improve the performance of
the site I would to merge all my css file into one on the production
site.
I know I could do this using plugins, but I heard it is possible
natively within rails.
Does someone know what it is?

Layout antics
I have a strange problem with my layout file. I think it may be due to
nested partials, but removing the deepest nested partial call does not
clear the problem.
I have an application wide layout (application.html.erb) that works as
expected - loads images, javascript, css etc for my application.
So http://localhost:3000/patients --> fine
http://localhost:3000/patients/new --> fine

how to print out content of stylesheets in <style> tag via stylesheet_link_tag

I''m developing facebook apps with ruby on rails. My connection is really
slow. The stylesheets do not load mosts of the time.
So i want to print out the content of my .css-files in <style> Tags. Is this
possibe with some parameter to the stylesheet_link_tag or an other tag?

Dynamic Assets - can it be done?
I''m looking for 3 areas to work as dynamic assets:
image_path, javascript_path, and stylesheet_path
When I say dynamic, I mean that they will be dynamic through
controller/models. I have been working through approx. 12 hours of

Numbers on stylesheet_link_tag and image_tag
Can anyone explain to me exactly what are those numbers that rails
appends to stylesheets and images when using stylesheet_link_tag or
image_tag? At first I thought it would be so the browser wouldn''t
cache the stylesheets, but that doesn''t make much sense for images,
plus it seems that the numbers are unique, maybe based on the session.
Any idea?

On apache2, my rails application cannot access my stylesheet.
<%= stylesheet_link_tag ''my_railsblog_stylesheet'' %>
however, all is fine if I run my application on webrick!
why? Am I doing something wrong with my apache configuration:

Why does stylesheet_link_tag default to :media => 'screen' !?!?!
Hi all -
Can anyone tell me why stylesheet_link_tag defaults to :media => ''screen''
instead of ''all'' (or just leaving it out alltogether).
Seems odd since I would think by default I''d want my page printed out the
same way it looked on the screen...
Anyone know why that default was chosen?

Scatter plot in R
Hi,
I have 334 records, with two columns:
Column (1): Resolution Column (2): Number of images with a specific
resolution
How can I make a scatter plot in R with this data? Is there a way to *import
* the records, since it will be time consuming to enter 334 records?
