undefined method `init' for Mysql:Class on Mac with rvm and Passenger 3
I tried to find some help in the Passenger group without luck. I would
not like to use mysql2 gem (it gives an error too) because in
production I have to use mysql gem anyway. I moved to Passenger 3 and
I am not able to run a Rails 2 and a 3 apps. They both uses Passenger
3 (latest) and ree 2011.03.
The Rails 2 app gives uninitialized constant MysqlCompat::MysqlRes

mongrel + mysql can't connect in custom mysql install

The linux box I am working on I do not have root access to, and given I
am at a government site all hope of that is lost.

I installed the "kwatch-mysql-ruby" gem on my Debian server but when I
try to run the "db:migrate" task I get the following error:

Rad Rails/Aptana plugin for haml - site down anyone know if it hosted elsewhere
I have been using the Haml plugin for RadRails, it works well, but
after rebuilding my laptop from windows to fedora, I re-installed
Aptana (after some sweat and toil) but the site http://blog.lucky-dip.net
seems to have vanished.
Wonder if anyone knows of an alternative?

Scaffold in Aptana error - wrong number of arguments(1 for 2) help?
Hi all - I''m new to rails and programming in general.
I installed Rails 2.3.5, using mac os x 10.5.8, running into problems
using scaffold. I am using Aptana Radrails as my IDE. I was not
encountering this problem when using Rails 1.2.6, which is odd because
from what I can gather online the entry syntax I am using should only
work with Rails 2.x . Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I''m getting an exception that I''m fairless clueless about. It occurs
when I run a "create" action but neither my action or before filters
are hit before this exception. I''m hoping someone can give me a clue.
I suspect it has to do with marshalling objects in the session - maybe

Adding an existing project to Aptana RadRails
I''ve just installed Aptana RadRails and now want to import an existing
project that was originally created in the Ruby console using the
"ruby script/generate controller say" command.
I now want to import this into Aptana so I don''t have to use Notepad
to edit the .rb and .rhtml files.

I inherited a function written either for an older version of R or SPlus
to draw a brace, "{", in a graph. It uses par("uin") to determine the

Just upgraded smoothly to long overdue Aptana M7 Beta which was
released on 25/9/2007.
FYI, the best way to upgrade from July''s M5 (M6 was skipped) is as

When trying to debug a Rails 3 app with RadRails 2.0.4, I''m running into
