How to set RUBY EXECUTABLE path in Ruby Gems Environment
I have ruby 2 version in my Mac which are 1.8.6 and 1.8.7.
I would like to set Rubygems environment to point to Ruby 1.8.7.
Anyone know this issure????

Rails on OS X problem
Hi All,
So far I have been unable to get rails working on a 10.5.6 OS X
installation. Every ''rails'' command ends with the following error:
/Library/Ruby/Site/1.8/rubygems.rb:827:in `report_activate_error'':
RubyGem version error: ruby-openid(2.1.7 not ~> 2.0.0)
(Gem::LoadError)
I tried uninstalling and then re-installing ruby-openid, but that
doesn''t help.

Undefined Method Angst After Rails / Ruby / Gem Updates
I have what appears to be a problem accessing methods from within an
application. I can access them from irb, but not from within the
app. In other words:

Freezing one gem in Rails 3
Hi,
I''m working on an app for a colleague.
He has written his own pagination class, but it is buggy and not
very DRY. Therefore I replaced it with the well-known "will_paginate"
gem, and that works just great.
The only problem is, that although this works on my machine, my
colleague (for whatever reason) refuses to install any additional gems

I used MySQL as a backend before. Now I had to move to PG since Heroku
doesn''t have MySQL and forces everyone to use their Heroku-PG database.
But PG virsion of Rails works diffidently. I cannot generate a model
without PG server running:

We're sorry, but something went wrong on Tomcat
I am using JRuby and I have to deploy on Tomcat. My web app is working
fine in the dev envirmonment, with Mongel, but when I deploy on Tomcat
I get "We''re sorry, but something went wrong on Tomcat".
The problem is that production.log only shows:

gem install puppet-2.6.3 problem
All,
Trying to install puppet-2.6.3 on CentOS 5.4 and I get the following.
[root@stsdev-pri ~]# gem install puppet-2.6.3
ERROR: http://rubygems.org/ does not appear to be a repository
ERROR: Error installing puppet-2.6.3:
puppet requires facter (>= 1.5.1, runtime)
Facter is installed:

Problem processing text file after uploading
I''ve got a web-app currently partially working. The user uploads a .txt,
.docx or .doc file to the server.
Currently the model handles those files, saves some metadata (the
extention and orig filename) then saves the file to the hard drive. Next
it converts the doc and docx files to plain text and saves the output to
a txt file.

Associations and Math between Models

has_and_belongs_to_many. I''m trying to get an attribute from model_1 to use
