:conditions => ["phone like ''%:phone%''" , {:phone => "555"}]
Hi all, What''s wrong with the way I specify the condition in : Person.find :all, :conditions => ["phone like ''%:phone%''" , {:phone => "555"}] ? It translates to (note the two '' between the two ") SELECT * FROM people WHERE (phone like "%''555''%" ) instead of SELECT * FROM people WHERE

fckeditor works, but i cant get my buttons back...
I am going to bet this is a mongrel issue,because this doesn''t happen under webrick. Anyway, I was able to get fckeditor: http://www.fckeditor.net/ to work under rails: http://www.joshuamcharles.com/xhtml/fckrails.php i even saw the part about adding "1. Adding a YAML configuration file. For example, create $(RAILS_ROOT)/config/mongrel_mime.yml with the contents: xml:

Customising FCKeditor
I would like to customise my FCKeditor-instance so that when the "add image" button is pressed, it opens my own add_image popup. In this popup i would handle the image upload/image browser/etc. tasks with rails. How can I open the popup and pass the picture information from there back to FCKeditor''s textarea? -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Ruby variable that embeds html tags
This seems very simple, but I can''t quite get it. Probably because I''m just starting out with RoR. My view has a slew of labels and text fields; many are "required": <%= f.text_field :screen_name %> <span class="required_field">Required field</span> (The "required_field" class turns the text red and smaller.) Uploads with FCKEditor
Hello everyone. Since I''ve found very poor documentation about the rails FCKEditor plug-in and Easy-FCKEditor (which is a fork of the very same plug-in), I decided to bother you with my noobish questions. I have this weird sensation that the image-uploading feature of FCKEditor isn''t supposed to work magically, without some sort of server side preparation, but I have no idea

smbd - wide links / possible buffer failure??
Hello there, sorry - my first mail seems to be lost? Might be I am wrong, but it seems that the behavior of wide link option has been changed since 2.2.7. So we have some problems on our large side to upgrade to 2.2.8a. Here is what I found, but it may be not the intention of samba developer! There ist a new function called readlink_checkin smbd/vfs.c. In this function is a pattern compare

slow bootloader on Dell R320
Hi all ! Thanks for the very good support of Dell R320 hardware, perc H310 is well supported, BCM5720 seems to work correctly and performances are great. The only problem i have found is very strange. The FreeBSD bootloader take many times to load, 30sec-2minutes to boot the kernel and show the bootloader menu. After that, the system boots properly, at a normal speed. Is there any issue or

[patch] Let's use <%== %> instead of <%= raw() %>
I''ve submitted a small patch to make Rails behave properly with the Erubis <%== %> construct. For some reason the current behaviour of that tag in Rails 3 is to escape the contents _twice_ which is probably a bug. I offer three suggestions why this is a good idea: - The syntax is cleaner. It can avoid a lot of .html_safe and raw in your views. I especially like the conciseness of
