SOLARIS_2.6: request_oplock_break
I saw a little discussion about this a few weeks ago but nothing concrete. We're running samba-1.9.18p8 under Solaris 2.6x86. I am periodically getting the following in the logfiles, usually _many_ at a time: 1998/11/03 14:42:00 request_oplock_break: no response received to oplock break request to pid 5411 on port 40884 for dev = 1980040, inode = 33c4d When I look up the PID (in this case

teeny mongrel_cluster hack
I was playing around with merb over the weekend and whipped up a simple form that takes your mongrel_cluster.yml file and outputs monit files for you. Not exactly earth shattering info, but if you have a couple of pups it might save you some braindead typing. It''s using the new mongrel_cluster syntax, of --only and clean for each port in your system. Hope it saves someone some time.

help pages base R not rendered correctly?
Hi Duncan, that explains, thank you. If nobody finds the time to fix that, I might give it a shot myself this summer. Barbeque is overrated. Everyone wants a RoR framework
It seems like everyone now has a RoR type framework: Perl: http://dev.catalyst.perl.org/ PHP: http://cakephp.org/ Python: http://www.django.com ASP.NET: http://www.castleproject.org/index.php/Main_Page etc., etc. Has a revolution begun with the birth of these "Web 2.0" frameworks? Its going to be interesting when the tech media begins its mass hype like it did SOAP, XML, etc. a

Simplex voice on TDM410P
Hello, I am working on a trixbox based system with a TDM410P connected to 3 phone lines from the CO. The asterisk box is on a full duplex 100Mb LAN with some polycom and Aastra SIP phones. In general everything works. the problem I am trying to solve is that if both parties to a call speak at the same time one of the voices gets cut out such that the talker A cannot hear what talker B is

mongrel_cluster
Hello, Apologize if this is a annoying faq but folks here are trying to get a cluster going and something odd is happening. When ''mongrel_rails cluster::start'' is run, the following error is getting returned: ERROR RUNNING ''cluster::start'': Plugin /cluster::start does not exist in category /commands Is this the result of a simple path issue or perhaps a

PRI lines do not have CallerID activated yet it is
Hi, I am having some trouble setting up Caller id on my asterisk system, I need to know if there is anything special that needs to be done for an australian connection specifically as I have tried what most web sites on google reccomend but without success. I have not had much experience with asterisk as I have inherited this system from the previous sysadmin who has not documented anything so I

Clustering "NEW THREAD", Almost Working
All, I made some progress, but it seems the further I go with clustering the harder things get. Hmmm, I guess if it were easy, it would be documented...... Anyhow, I have 1 * server as the DUNDi peering master with a ttl=1. The only function of this server is to lookup where other sip peers are registered and forward that info on to the requesting * server. I have 4 * servers accepting

Monit + Mongrel woes
Hello all, So, I''ve been using monit with mongrel for a while now, since the 0.3.x days (I think it was). It used to work fine, but now I seem to be having some trouble. I''m currently using mongrel 1.0.1 and I am using the same monit configuration I''ve always been using, yet everytime monit should restart mongrel, I get "Execution failed". For the start

what''s your rails wishlist?
I''ve been working with rails for a while now. Rails is the second web framework I''ve tried. It blows the doors off catalyst (perl''s best framework). I even just wrote my first plugin (broomstick). Ruby''s ability to meta-program blew me away with it''s ease of use. I''ve been so impressed with the helpers that rails uses to make a lot of
