self.prepend_view_path - am I missing something
I have an app that varies its content based upon the domain from which it is being accessed. Some of the domain characteristics are supported in the model but it is easier varying static text in the views and then sharing the form templates via partials etc. Rails 2.3.10 and looking at the documentation at

TBOOT and extlinux
Hi, I'm trying to get to the bottom of a problem using the combination of tboot (http://tboot.sf.net, trusted boot kernel for Intel TXT) and extlinux. TBOOT loads using the multiboot protocol, where the tboot "kernel" is loaded as the kernel, and the actual linux kernel and initrd are specified as modules. A working grub configuration looks something like:

zpool version 3 & Uberblock version 9 , zpool upgrade only half succeeded?
We are currently experiencing a very huge perfomance drop on our zfs storage server. We have 2 pools, pool 1 stor is a raidz out of 7 iscsi nodes, home is a local mirror pool. Recently we had some issues with one of the storagenodes, because of that the pool was degraded. Since we did not succeed in bringing this storagenode back online (on zfs level) we upgraded our nashead from opensolaris b57

Generalized linear model
Hi all! I am fitting a Poisson model, using the following command: > fit2<-glm(canc~id1+year1+time+lnpa,family=poisson) where 'id1', 'year1' and 'time' are factors. I defined them with: > id1<-C(factor(id1), treatment) and 'lnpa' is a continuous variable. The 'summary' function gives me all the effects estimates, that is, for id1, I

Bug? find_by_id(nil) returns object just created
Tried to submit a ticket in Trac, but it reported an error... Doing a Model.find_by_id(nil) after creating an object of type Model returns that object -- and the next time, returns nil. It should always return nil. For example, Step 1. Create an object: >> Foo.create(:name => "bar") => #<Foo:0x2aaaac3ade20 @new_record=false,

confused about zpool import -f and export
Hi, all, I think I''m missing a concept with import and export. I''m working on installing a Nexenta b134 system under Xen, and I have to run the installer under hvm mode, then I''m trying to get it back up under pv mode. In that process the controller names change, and that''s where I''m getting tripped up. I do a successful install, then I boot OK,

Pool faulted in a bad way
Hello, I have been asked to take a look at at poll on a old OSOL 2009.06 host. It have been left unattended for a long time and it was found in a FAULTED state. Two of the disks in the raildz2 pool seems to have failed, one have been replaced by a spare, the other one is UNAVAIL. The machine was restarted and the damaged disks was removed to make it possible to access the pool without it hanging

Removing rows that are duplicates but column values are in reversed order
Hi, From your example data, dat1<- read.table(text=" id1?? id2?? value a????? b?????? 10 c????? d??????? 11 b???? a???????? 10 c????? e???????? 12 ",sep="",header=TRUE,stringsAsFactors=FALSE) #it is easier to get the output you wanted dat1[!duplicated(dat1$value),] #? id1 id2 value #1?? a?? b??? 10 #2?? c?? d??? 11 #4?? c?? e??? 12 But, if you have cases like the one

Choose between duplicated rows
Dear r experts, Sorry for this basic question, but I can't seem to find a solution? I have this data frame: df <- data.frame(id = c("id1", "id1", "id1", "id2", "id2", "id2"), A = c(11905, 11907, 11907, 11829, 11829, 11829), v1 = c(NA, 3, NA,1,2,NA), v2 = c(NA,2,NA, 2, NA,NA), v3 = c(NA,1,NA,1,NA,NA), v4 = c("N",

average columns of data frame corresponding to replicates
Hi Group, I have a data frame below. Within this data frame there are samples (columns) that are measured more than once. Samples are indicated by "idx". So "id1" is present in columns 1, 3, and 5. Not every id is repeated. I would like to create a new data frame so that the repeated ids are averaged. For example, in the new data frame, columns 1, 3, and 5 of the original

Subtracting rows by id
Dear R users, I have two datasets: id1 <- c(rep(1,10), rep(2,10), rep(3,10)) value1 <- sample(1:100, 30, replace=TRUE) dataset1 <- cbind(id1,value1) id2 <- c(1,2,3) subtract.value <- c(1,3,5) dataset2 <- cbind(id2, subtract.value) I want to subtract the number of rows in the subtract.value that corresponds to the id value in dataset1. So for the 1 in id1, I want to

[PATCH 1/2] dm-ioband: I/O bandwidth controller v1.12.0: main part
Hi All, This is the dm-ioband version 1.12.0 release. dm-ioband is an I/O bandwidth controller implemented as a device-mapper driver and can control bandwidth on per partition, per user, per process , per virtual machine (such as KVM or Xen) basis. The major change of this release is that a new bandwidth control policy "range-bw" is supported. This policy is developed by Dong-Jae Kang,

Problems with Samba and security hardened WinXP SP2 clients
We're running Fedora Core and Samba-3.0.8-0.pre1.3 and we're authenticating our Windows XP users against Active Directory running on Windows 2003. Everything works fine! But now we're trying to secure and harden our WinXP machines and now when any user logged into a secured WinXP they get the errormessage "The account is not authorized to log in from this station". Authentication: is a guest a user or an "exception"?
Hi all I''m currently implementing authentication/authorization in my app. Now I''m wondering what''s the common way to handle a guest... In fact, many of the visitors of my app will be anonymous users that just want to read articles etc., but one can register as a member to have some further possibilities. So far one can login as a member and from this point on one has

find_by_id(nil) does not always return nil
I have a model named User. When running this application from the console I can call User.find_by_id(nil) and it returns nil. When running this application during testing or through WEBrick or Mongrel calling User.find_by_id(nil) returns the newest record in the database. But it only does this the first time you call it with nil. The second time you call User.find_by_id(nil) it returns nil.
