thin server claims I don't have correct rails gem installed
Hi everyone, I need some insight into a problem I just started having.
I''m running ruby 1.8.6 on an ubuntu box with the following gems
installed:
$ sudo gem list --local

can i switch to rails 2.3.5 and run a rails 2.3.5 code??
Hi all,
i have installed rails 3 using RVM . the prob is now i have two parallel
projects where one is in 2.3.5 and another is in rails3.
i use Mac o x 10.6.3
mysql :Server version: 5.1.56 MySQL
so can i switch in between rails3 and rails 2.3.8??
this is my gem list...

How to install rails gems 2.3.5 on windows
Hi,
When I try to add generator to controller, I got error as "Missing the
Rails 2.3.5 gem. Please `gem install -v=2.3.5 rails`, update your
RAILS_GEM_VERSION setting in config/environment.rb for the Rails version
you do have installed, or comment out RAILS_GEM_VERSION to use the
latest version installed."

Deploying my rails app to GoDaddy

How do I upgrade rack in my current rails app?
Hi,
I have a rails 2.3.8 app which has rack 1.1.0.
I get parse_multipart error.
There''s a new release of rack 1.2.0 which might fix the multipart error.
The question is how I upgrade the rack?
I froze the rails.
I did "gem update rack" and it upgraded rack to 1.2.0.
But my rails app still uses rack 1.1.
How do I set the rails app use rack 1.2.0?

How to use a freshly updated Rails gem?
Hi there,
How do I make my app pick up the new Rails gem that I have just updated?
I have:
1. just updated rails from version 2.1.0 to version 2.3.2 (console:
"rails -v" -> "Rails 2.3.2")
2. in environment.rb set: "RAILS_GEM_VERSION = ''2.3.2'' unless defined?
RAILS_GEM_VERSION"
3. restarted the server
Result:
- The Console in Eclipse tells me

How I installed ovirt on fc 12
Hi,
I installed ovirt on fedora 12 (64 bits) successfully but I had to make some changes to make it work.
1. Installation from rpms builded from the lastest git version
2. Patch ace : missing backslashes in sed commands

I have yet to find a solution for this issue I have tried multiple
things that I have found on google, but yet have i found a solution. If

Which RoR to run on Mac OS X for a particular RoR app.
I am extremely new to RoR, I am. I am slowly but surely learning Ruby
and the Rails concepts but the environment is confusing.
I have an application that was written for my company in RoR. It is on a
ubuntu server that is going to be shut down. I want to move the app to
my two Macs (one Leopard and one Snow Leopard). We want to keep the app
to demo a business concept but it can run locally

Rack gem in not getting unpacked
Hi All,
my server is having rack gems as:
rack (1.2.1, 1.1.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.0)
when i run the following command in my project/vendor/gems folder:
gem unpack rack-1.0.0
It shows the following error message:
Error: Gem ''rack-1.0.0'' not installed.
Any idea on this??
