yum upgrade perl question
I'm looking to install n2rrd, which requires Perl 5.8.x (http://n2rrd.diglinks.com/cgi-bin/trac.cgi) I see that lots of Perl stuff is installed. Do I just need to yum upgrade perl-libwww-perl-5.78.5 to the latest? Here's what I have installed perl-wise: [root at nagios-server nagios2cacti]# rpm -qa | grep perl perl-DBI-1.40-8 perl-HTML-Tagset-3.03-30 perl-XML-Parser-2.34-5

A logging/graphing UPS client using rrdtool and UPS::Nut
I finally got around to writing myself a NUT UPS monitoring tool. NUT's UPS monitoring CGI tools provide a detailed instantaneous view of the UPS's state at any moment, but provide no history. The attached tool, upswatch, uses Kiss Gabor's UPS::Nut module and Tobi Oetiker's rrdtool to provide a graphical history of the major UPS operating parameters via a web browser.

Problem with Cacti and CentOS 4.4
I just for the first time attempted to install Cacti from the RPMForge repo on CentOS 4.4. And I have to say that it hasn't gone very well at all. I have installed Cacti on Fedora a good 20 times with absolutely no problem. Basically the default rrds/graphs for localhost are generated but no other rrds/graphs are generated. When I look at the poller cache or snmp cache I see all the data.

Sporadic Bus error on mmap() on FUSE mount
Hi, I need to use rrdtool on top of a Gluster FUSE mount, rrdtool uses memory-mapped file IO extensively (I know I can recompile rrdtool with mmap() disabled, but that is just a workaround). I have three FUSE mount points on three different servers, on one of them the command "rrdtool create test.rrd --start 920804400 DS:speed:COUNTER:600:U:U RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:1:24" works fine, on

install rrdtools-devel / rrdtool-perl
Hi guys , Im have some problems installing the following packages: rrdtool-devel rrdtool-perl Before we moved to centos/rhel7 it was a simple task, just doing: yum install rrdtool rrdtool-devel and rrdtool-perl was enough. Now, I only can install the rrdtool package but not rrdtool-devel and rrdtool-perl. I tryed adding some repos, but I think I added wrong ones. Also tryed downloading and

You shouldn't need to, no. I'm guessing you've got a cruddy version installed from somewhere else, else the yum install would have just worked, but I'm just guessing as you've not posted

Im very sorry. You were right, yum install works flawlessly for rrdtool, rrdtool-devel and rrdtool-perl packages. I tryed on a fresh centos7 install. The problem is that my Os is not a centos7 instead is a redhat 7. Since I dont have any support for this , I asked some help here. I thought that repositories are the same for fedora, redhat and centos. My mistake ... I dont know what to do now.

can't install rrdtool, problems with dependancies
Hi all, I have tried to install rrdtool manually, but have noticed that I need perl-rrdtool as well for it to work, and I have approached this the wrong way. So, instead of installing rpmforge first, I have downloaded the rrdtool from sourceforge and installed it the old-fashioned way, totally forgot about rpmforge. So, now I want to remove it, and install it via rpmforge in order to get

rrdtool and rails
How would one get the information stored in rrdtool into a database that rails can present to the user? Would it be possible to combine this data with other data in the same database to handle virtual connections between the data? -Ron --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails:
