Routing and Redundancy Delima
My setup:
LAN A
|
|-- Wireless-r1 --|
|-- Wireless-r2 --|
..................|
.................LAN B
LAN A is my primary (external) LAN. LAN B is my wireless LAN. LAN A does
iBGP and OSPF routing. Each wireless router does the following:
2 Bridged Ethernet + STP connections to LAN A
2 Bridged Ethernet + STP connections to LAN B
2 VLANs on LAN A
5 VLANs on LAN B
UCARP on each wireless

[Fwd: [quagga-users 2122] Linux advanced routing & quagga]
Hi Everyone;
Please find below a mail I sent to quagga mailing list, covering
lartc/quagga issue.
So far, I have no reply from them. I think that maybe you guys would
have an idea about this.
Thanks in advance !
Best,

Hi There,
I''m new to quagga and to dynamic routing in general, so please forgive
me if my question are foobar.
I''m trying to

Toying with the vif-route script, I might have found a workaround for this
issue.
If I disable the ifconfig and ip route commands from vif-route script, and bring
up vif interface by hand later on, everything seems to work.

Linux choices ?
First of all, My apologies for this maybe slight OT post, but I have
so much confidence and read so much good replies on this list, that I
am still asking my question.
I''m looking for a linux distribution to use on our school''s homemade
routers. The routers are small miniITX based systems with 2 network
interfaces. I added a 4 port D-Link network card in some cases, when I

Bug#441249: xen-hypervisor-3.0.3-1-i386-pae: "Problems using XEN when Quagga is running"
Package: xen-hypervisor-3.0.3-1-i386-pae
Version: 3.0.3-0-2
Severity: normal
If quagga is running, and I start & stop a domain, the VIF interface doesn't go
down properly (in addition to other problems).
Here's what I do:
1. Boot the computer. By default, quagga is running (zebra + ospfd).
2. xm create test7.cfg, wait until the domU starts.
3. xm shutdown test7, wait until the domU

Coexistence of Dynamic and Static routing
List members;
I have been reading the digest for some time now and I would like to ask some conceptual questions. I am a telecommunications systems designer and not a software guy, but I have tried and used a number of the tools availabel in the LARTC and Iptables, and many of the other great things included in Linux. We are designing commercial products and I don''t want to ask my

CentOS 5 + Quagga + SELinux
Hello All,
Does anyone happen to be running Quagga on CentOS 5 with SELinux in
enforcing mode?
Have you had to create SELinux policies or did it "just work" out of the
box?
(I'll get around to building this out on CentOS 6 as well.)
I'm simply trying to write my config (for the zebra daemon) and it can't be
written...
Looks like this bug from Fedora 8 in 2008 [0] remains

Linux routing
Anyone here using Quagga/Zebra and OSPFd to accomplish Equal Cost
Multipath.
I have Quagga up and working I just can't get it to insert more than one
route into the kernel for any given destination.

Zebra, Routing ...
Before I start, I don''t want to do ECMP or simple bonding ...
I have multiple Internet connections available to multiple boxes on one
of my networks.
Box A connects to ISPs 1, 2 and 3
Box B connects to ISPs 1 and 4
Boxes A and B are both connected to each other and the rest of the
network.
1) I would like to set up some dynamic routing in such a way that any

Xen and timekeeping
Hi everyone,
I have the problem with Xen domU's and timekeeping in dom0.
Time in dom0 was incorrect by 5 hours due to wrong timezone assumed. Fixed it
by ntpdate ntp.nist.gov. The time on a dom0 was changed. I didn't append
xen.independent_wallclock=1 to sysctl.conf thus the time in all domU's was
also changed. But THEY DIDN'T "KNOW" THAT!
The 'date' output

syslinux.efi pxeboot across multiple subnets
The same client was used for syslinux.efi (both success on same subnet and
failure on different subnet) and grub.efi. The DHCP host block is setup
like:
host testing {
hardware ethernet {mac} ;
next-server 10.16.195.178 ;
filename "rhel64/syslinux.efi" ;
}
I'll pull a tcpdump filtering by the IP tomorrow when I get back to the
systems.

Using zebra
Hello
Anyone used Zebra routing daemon and created virtual routers
before? Is it possible to run OSPF/BGP on each virtual server and get
them to talk to each other?
I''m new to Xen and I need to know... I will be trying this out in the
coming days and I want to know about any pitfalls to avoid.

CentOS + GNU Zebra
Hi folks,
At work, we're considering the idea to replace the presente router with
a stardard box with CentOS as a SO and GNU Zebra as a routing software.
The line is a 4Mbps SDSL.
?What do you think about Zebra and what are your experiencies with it?
Any feedback will be so appreciated.
TIA.

Zebra Striping a Collection of Partials
I''m using render to display a collection of partials, where each partial
is a table row. Is it possible to zebra-stripe the table using this
method i.e. alternate table rows get a different CSS class? I can''t work
out how each row partial would know whether it was odd or even.
In the normal scheme of things I could do:
<% odd_or_even = 0

HTB.init for zebra BGP
Hi,
I have successfully shape bandwidth using htb.init using ip address , but
when i try to shape zebra BGP using their ip address and BGP port it can''t
match the class for BGP and always get the default class.
Here''s my htb.init script in the bridge :
