problem using rshaper
Hello, We are managing the control of outgoing bandwidth using HTB. We are trying to use rshaper to control our incoming bandwidth. But the bandwidth doesn''t seem to come under the specified limit. We are not sure what we did is right. This is what we did. insmod rshaper.o rshaperctl 192.168.1.20 500 There were no errors. 192.168.1.20 is our IP in a LAN.

Proxy ARP and RH 7.2
I have tried unsuccessfully to run both Shorewall 1.2.x, 1.3.x with Proxy ARP on a Red Hat 7.2 machine. The machine was configured as the external firewall as per the ''belt and suspenders'' layout given at http://www.skippy.net/linux/firewall/ The firewall appeared to function correctly in all functions except proxy ARP, however I must say I did not test exhaustively. [Bridge] My configuration in Bridge, 802.1Q VLAN, and hotmail login, Thanks to all
Hi All, For my issue, first thanks to ALL, I have some idea of it. Also Thank Peter for his kind remind, I would become one good guy in this list. Most mentioned MTU, but how I assure that the problem is just MTU, how I debug it? Here is my bridge configuration: Internet | | Gateway | | eth0 Ethernet Bridge | eth1 | H u b ( one normal hub

Problems with eepro100 or BroadCom NetXtreme and syslinux 2.04
Hi all! We use pxelinux for booting a diskless Linux from whitch we install all our systems. But we discovered some Problems: - With v1.75 the Kernel is fetched from the TFTP-Server with no problem, but it gets not started on Broadcom NetXtreme with newer PXE-Bioses - With v2.04, pxelinux even seems not to be able to fetch the kernel from the TFTP-Server. This affects also Intel's

Pure Ruby HTTP parser
Before anything else, let me state this: Of course it''s going to be PAINFULLY slow on MRI. That''s not the point :) I thought I''d try out writing out a Ruby version of the parser for the purposes of Rubinius. For those of you who aren''t aware, Ragel supports a goto-driven FSM on Rubinius by injecting assembly directly, and Rubinus head honcho guy Evan Phoenix

NMI issues...
I have read thru what other users have tried in this list when they have experienced seemingly similar issues to what I have, without success. I suspect there might be an issue regarding both the X100P and TDM04b cards being used in an Intel SE7525GP2 motherboard, as I had to even wait for a BIOS update from Intel in order to utilize my 3ware 9500 SATA raid controller on it (3ware Kb -->

etherchannel/port group/bonding plus vlan works well
I figured I should post this because before I went to do it I searched the web for caveats etc and didn''t really find much. So anyway, I set up bonding + vlan for a project. Computer is dell powerdge 350 with 2 intel 82559 10/100 nic running stock 2.4.20. I tried both the eepro100 and the e100 drivers for the nics, both work 802.1q and bonding are modules. Intel 82557-based Integrated Ethernet PCI (10/100)
HI zytor, I hope you can help me. I have above network chipset on a Mitsubishi im-2000 mobo. I don't see an actual chip on the mobo w/ this ID so I suspect it embedded in the mobo BIOS or in one of the 3 Intel chips. I am attempting to use LTSP to boot a workstation w/ above NIC chipset. It has imbedded boot to net software (Intel Landesk service agt v.99b) using PXE. I can't get it

HTB is losing packets ?
Hello all, I have using htb for last 10-12 months to manage the bandwidth share. Until last month everything was ok, but now after a kernel upgrade (from 2.4.20 to 2.4.26 because a kernel bug that generate a oops) the Linux router is droping packets. It is weird because the "tc -s class ls dev eth1" (in the class I monitor) reports no packet drop, the "tc -s qdisc ls dev

Anyhow, I ran into it when setting up this strange network of mine.. I dont think my setup is causing anything strange however.. HTB
Hello, I have problems with htb. The problem is that when I download any file via shaper with htb, the traffic is very dinamic, it jumps, for example: if i have set ceil = 128kbit the results that it jumps from 112kbps to 144kbps or smth like that maybe its not very bad, but when the traffic drops down to 40kbps or less and then after 1 or 2 seconds jumps to 144kbps, its bad :-( and it is often.

Problems with eepro100 or BroadCom NetXtreme and s yslinux 2.04
This sounds kind of like what happened with me for earlier attempts at using syslinux. Skip using HPA's tools entirely and dd if=vmlinuz of=/dev/fd0 bs=1440k count=1 and make sure that the kernel runs from a floppy disk. There'll be no file system or anything, but you'll make sure that your kernel isn't faulty. If it doesn't execute, then you can avoid the syslinux/pxelinux
