Newbie on IVR
Hi,
I get fascinated when I dial someone and get an IVR play " for accounts department press 1, for sales, press 2 or hold the line for an operator" and then have MOH play before the line is picked up at the desired extesion.
Please, permit me as I know this will be one of the dumbest questions to ask in a group like this. I'll apprecaite any specific guide/instruction.
Thanks

Customize list.rhtml to display only certain db columns
Hi,
Very new to RoR; have been a flash developer for four years or so. I
have an urgent question -- in the list.rhtml file, I only want to
display certain columns instead of dumping out all the columns in the
database. Could someone shed some light this topic? Thanks!!!

ssh_fxp_name
Hello,
I have a very basic sftp client which is able to successfully intialize the transport layer, password authenticate, and start the sftp subsystem. Now, I am stuck with an issue when I try to retrieve the directory listing. Sometimes I get a transport packet in which the sftp packet length field registers a length greater than the enclosing transport packet. In othet words sometimes I get a

Radiobutton onclick
Hi,
I would like to make a simple html which displays the contents of a
table from a database. So I put radiobuttons near the titles of the
columns to note and do a sorting by that column. But I don''t know how
to implement that the clicking on one of the radiobuttons make the
sorting. The problem is the view part. How to give a radiobutton to
make some action on a click by the helper?

Stop browser timeout with large file uploads + processing?
Hi
Im uploading a file to my rails app, i''s usually a large file, 5-50mb.
Once the file has been uploaded it must be parsed and processed, this

time my browser timeouts.
Im not really sure how to solve it. One idea is that i have a script

Fill in empty spaces modified
Hi All?
I was looking at a posting from June-17. I managed to solve it. However,
when I changed the example in the posting, my solution will work only once
at a time which was mentioned by Jim Lemon on his response to the original
posting. This means that my solution will have to be repeated as many times
as the maximum number of spaces on each gap; something that may not work
well for large

Sequence of multiple background process submissions
I have a question on how multiple b/g processes that are kicked off get
handled in terms of sequence/schedule.
On my site, a user enters an RSS feed to be processed and since this takes
about 5-10 secs, I pass the process off to a background job and meanwhile do
some Ajaxy spinners and tap-dancing until the job completes and then
redirect_to the appropriate page. This works great.
