NetJet Cards
Hello,
I am trying to use 2 netjet cards under asterisk and isdn4linux. I am
having a hard time trying to get them to work in terms of dial out. Does
anyone have a working config I could look at for even one card (tried
that, not much luck either).
When i dial out:

__Very__ Low Bandwidth
I am using the script below to simulate a very low bandwidth connection.
I found that I could turn the bandwidth knob down to about 4kbit, but
below that I didn''t get any traffic through. I''ve had a look at this
generally, but couldn''t find an answer. It doesn''t even seem like the
first reply packet gets through. I have tried it with much bigger

Better filtering to a class
Dear all,
I want to make a filter for all IRC-Dalnet traffic, so I want to put all
traffic for port 6660, 6661, 6662, 6663, 6664, 6665, 6666, 6667, 6668, 6669,
7000, 7001, 7002, and 8000 to a class. So, I create a TC script as below.
I''m sure, it is not effective, and we can write it in simpler.
I need help, how to make my script below are simpler.
The simpler, the better.
Thank you

SFQ with Per Flow Caps
I''d like to implement something like SFQ, but with a cap of a rate per
flow. Essentially, I''d like to be able to limit citrix connections to
30KBps without having an overall traffic flow cap for all citrix
connections. Slightly preferable to this would be something that would
actually work per flow instead of the stochastic algorithm.
Is this possible?
Thanks,
Bill

Need help with rate-limiting NTTP traffic
Howdy all,
I posted this message to the netfilter mailing-list and didn''t get much
response. I apologize if anyone here is getting this for a
second time.
Anyway, I recently migrated my firewall from a FreeBSD box running
ipfilter, ipnat and dummynet to a Gentoo Linux box running netfilter and
tc. I have to admit that I''m having problems visualizing tc in my head.
So, I was

Strange HFSC behavior - bug? my misconfiguration/lack of knowledge?
Hi
I''m moving to hfcs (mostly succesfuly:) ), but I''ve encountered a strange
problem: When I download something from this server using wget (one thread)
via an idle uplink, I get no more than 130 kbit/s, and when I''m using
prozilla (or start more wgets), I get about 200 kbit, but still it''s not all
the link can do (240) - the rest remamins unused.

PRIO and TBF is much better than HTB??
Hello mailing list,
i stand bevor a mystery and cannot explain it J. I want to do shaping and
prioritization and I have done these following configurations and
simulations. I canĀ“t explain, that the combination of PRIO and TBF is much
better than the HTB (with the prio parameter) alone or in combination with
the SFQ.
Here are my example configurations: 2 Traffic Classes http (80 = 0x50) and

ices2 and Icecast2 on debian configuration question
Hi there,
I have a Debian sarge 512 MB RAM machine with icecast2 and ices2 that I
installed via aptitude. I have a 3MBit/s download and 800KBit/s upload
link.
I would like to configure icecast2 and ices2 properly.
Here is my situation:
1)I have a dtdns address omac.darktech.org
2)icecast2 and ices2 on port 8000 would be fine.
3)I simply want to broadcast my 6 year old niece's voice which

Error: cannot route packet - please help
Hi,
I?m fighting with a silly problem: my syslog tells me tinc cannot route
a packet. I can use a telnet or the good ol ping, it is the same effect.
When I?m pinging from the laptop (172.16.11.2) the network address
(172.16.11.0) or any address numerically lower than the laptops address,
the packet gets routed, otherwise not. And when I ping the network
address, I get the reply twice, as to be

Shaping incoming VoIP traffic fails
Hello,
I''m trying to get lossless VoIP traffic over my 3000k/500k ADSL line. Shaping
outgoing traffic is no problem: I set total ceil for outgiong device (ppp0)
to 450kbit and put VoIP into highest prio class. Even during full upload the
voice is clean on the other end.
Now I tried to get the same result for incoming data. I attached HTB to eth1

Hello everybody,
I have a Linux router with an ethernet adapter and a ADSL device.
My router has a GRE tunnel connected to a remote IP address.
Using "tc" I have configured 3 different classes:
1. 290kbit rate (used for Voip Services)
2. 180kbit rate (used for GRE tunnel)
3. 80kbit rate (for generic data traffic)
For each class, using "iperf", I send some data from a PC

Why did I need strange ceiling settings?
Hi all,
I recently installed traffic shaping on my ADSL line with a nominal upload
rate of 1MBit. My Modem says it has an upload bitrate of 843 kbits.
So I thought, to use a ceiling of 800kbit for the root qdisc is a good idea.
But with that setting I only achieved upload rates of around 300kbits
whereas I reached around 650 kbits without traffic shaping.
Yesterday I played a little with the

HTB not shaping correctly ? (or bad scripts...)
Hello to everybody,
We have an ADSL link with uplink speed of 530kbit, the goal is to divide the
traffic into three classes,
let say A, B and C.
A data rate of 240kbps must be guaratee to class A.
The remaing rate must be assigned: at least 180kbit to class B and at least
80kbit to class C.
The unused band of class A must be given to class B and C (if needed)
The unused band of class B must be
