Iptables connbytes
Hello, Is it possible to mark packets from particular IP and if it downloads over 100Kbytes, then it enters in CBQ shaper 32kbit/s for example ? My kernel is 2.4.22. If someone experimented with connection bytes patch please answer me. Troubles with tc/iptables - per TCP session tc
Hello, I have read most of the relevant emails already posted to the LARTC mailingilist and I have not found a solution to my problem. What I am trying to do is: limit the HTTP output traffic to 30Mbps and also to limit each HTTP connection at 512Kbps, if the client downloads more than 1MB. I have managed to limit the total traffic but not the traffic of each HTTP connection. Here it is my

Is it possible to evaluate a string as a parameter name?
Hi, I''m looking to combine a couple of fact names with the value of a class parameter to create and lookup the resulting fact''s value. Is that possible? For example, my class will take the parameter "my_default_nic" from beyond. So I know that as long as $my_default_nic exists on the client, then so will facts like macaddress_<NIC>, netmask_<NIC>,

routing decision based on sorce port
Hello Routing Gurus ;-) I''d like to know if it''s possible to make a routing decision for pakets originating from a specific port of the local machine without using ipfilter/iptables to mark the pakets. I read about the tc filter stuff but that seems only to be able to sort the pakets to a different queue on the same interface and not choose a different interface for example. Is

does xaxt="n" work
To R-people I recently downloaded an rpm for suse-linux of R-1.0 for suse 6.3. There plot(tx,spax, type='l',ylim=range(ytx),ylab="",xlab="",xaxt="n",yaxt="n") does not seem to supress printing on the axis. The same statement seemed to work well in R-0.9 on a redhat 5.2 (compiled by myself). Has anyone had the same experience? regards Helgi

avoiding duplicate IPs in tinc scripts
Currently I have the local tinc node's VPN IP in both the tinc-up script as well as in its hosts/$NODE file Subnet setting. Can this be avoided, to simplify deployment? Actually I am currently using a DNS lookup in the tinc-up script to get the local VPN IP ($NODE.myvpndomain), but this fails if DNS isn't ready when tinc-up is run. (DeviceStandby=yes fixes this, but then the
