[LLVMdev] Bignum development
Hi all,
After searching for a decent compiler backend for ages (google
sometimes isn't helpful), I recently stumbled upon LLVM. Woot!!
I work on bignum arithmetic (I'm a professional mathematician) and
have recently decided to switch from developing GPL'd bignum code to
BSD licensed code. (See http://www.mpir.org/ which I contributed to
for a while - a fork of GMP).
Please bear with

1-bit integer; in practice, usually used like a boolean, although it
supports the full complement of integer operations.

[LLVMdev] Bignum development
Hi Bill-
I think, ideally, the backend would be able to match arbitrary-precision arithmetic to add-with-carry or subtract-with-borrow through i65/i33. That would remove the need for the overflow intrinsics entirely.

[LLVMdev] Bignum development
I was able to get the loop to increment from -999 to 0 using IR
directly. That got rid of the cmpq.
The carry i was after was able to be obtained using the intrinsic
@llvm.uadd.with.overflow.i64, however there is no way to add with
carry and have it realise that the resulting *carry out* cannot exceed
1. It actually writes the carry to a byte, and then uses logical
operations on it, which slows

I''ve put the Passenger configuration files into two separate files

enabled. The default way of the Apache configuration under Ubuntu 8.1,

bad bignum encoding for curve25519-sha256@libssh.org
Hi,
So I screwed up when writing the support for the curve25519 KEX method
that doesn't depend on OpenSSL's BIGNUM type - a bug in my code left
leading zero bytes where they should have been skipped. The impact of
this is that OpenSSH 6.5 and 6.6 will fail during key exchange with a
peer that implements curve25519-sha256 at libssh.org properly about 0.2%
of the time (one in every 512ish

[LLVMdev] Static functions for APInt
This adds a bunch of static functions that implement unsigned
two's complement bignum arithmetic. They could be used to
implement much of APInt, but the idea is they are enough to
implement APFloat as well, which the current APInt interface
is not suited for.

Too much access rights on /tmp/passenger.{pid}/backends
Hi!
In a tight security environnement, we have to keep minimum access rights.
We found that /tmp/passenger.{pid}/backends is d-ws-wx-wx on root:root.
This directory is used by mod_passenger to keep execution queues.
Is it possible to limit those access rights?
Why is it world writable?
I''m wondering If somebody knows how to avoid keeping write access to the
world?
Thank you
