wondershaper htb
I got wshaper.htb working.....however I have 1 question.
How can i limit just ftp server traffic?
I have ftp server on port 21 with passive ports of 50000-60000.
I currently have wondershaper with htb working on my router....but im afraid
that it is also affecting all of my send traffic....not just the ftp server.
I want to be able to limit the ftp server traffic only.
Thanks,
Mark

Wondershaper stops limiting outbound traffic
I have wondershaper to limit my upload at 400kilobits (my line is 600kbps).
I do a lot of torrent seeding and I dont want my pings killed when I''m
uploading so I set low prority source ports as follows (by the way, I have
bittornet to only use ports 6881-6910):
NOPRIOPORTSRC="6881 6882 6883 6884 6885 6886 6887 6888 6889 6890 6891 6892
6893 6894 6895 6896 6897 6898 6899 6900 6901

Wondershaper - question
Hi,
I have a question conercing wondershaper. I''m using the Clarkconnect linux
distribution for my linux router and I tried to use wondershaper.
On start up of wshaper, there are no errors or any other problems but I''m
not sure if it''s running correctly. Only one qdisc / one class is used and
when I start an uplink ftp transfer, my ping time is growing up to 1700ms -

wondershaper
Hi,
I just installed wondershapper 1.1a on my ipcop firewall box. I have
roadrunner cable with a ftp server setup. My download speed is 2mbit (I get
225 KBytes) and my upload is 384kbit (I send at 43 KBytes).
What should the settings in wshaper?
I can ping yahoo.com at 90msec with little traffic.....and at around 220msec
with full upload traffic.

RE: CBQ-wondershaper superior over HTB-wondershaper?
Hello Thilo,
What did you find superior with CBQ-wondershaper over HTB-wondershaper? We have not been using wondershaper specifically but our simple tests so far seem to show that htb is much easier to configure for a given target shape (i.,e accurate) compared to CBQ.

Wondershaper
Hi !
I´ve been using the wonderful wondershaper from chapter 15.8 of the
LARTC Howto for some time. It´s really wonderful.
Actually, I use the version from
http://freshmeat.net/projects/wshaper/?topic_id=87
Now I tried to put some hosts to low priority, and it doesn´t work. The
traffic is splitted equally between the noprio and the other hosts.
Is this because I use ip masquerading, and all

I''m looking for a quick recipe for a newbie to control http traffic in

Any suggestions ?

Fw: wondershaper kills eth0 :(
Hi,
When i do ''wshaper start'' the interface i have defined stops routing
traffic for some reason. It resumes routing when i do ''wshaper stop''.
I''m using debian stable (3.0 woody) with debian''s default 2.4.18-686
kernel.
When I run the script I get no errors, and when I do a ''status'',
everything looks correct.

exclude internal network from wondershaper
I''m having a network inside of a dsl modem and I''m using wondershaper on
the computers to be able to surf while bulk downloading. The problem is
that also the internal traffic is shaped, which means the internal
network is at 200kb/s, instead of 100Mb/s. Is there a way to exclude the
internal adresses from the wondershaper rules, or is there any other
good way to solve this?

wondershaper htb + multiple ports
Is there a way to apply wondershaper w/ htb to a port range?
I have a ftp server on port 65432 and passive ports 50000-60000.
Is there a way to set a range? or do they have to be individually
listed?
The following doesnt seem to work:
# low priority source ports
NOPRIOPORTSRC=65432, 50000:60000
# low priority destination ports
NOPRIOPORTDST=

tcrules ignored? wondershaper integration?
Hi,
first of all, let me thank you for your great Shoreline Firewall. I use
it with great success at home (protecting my WiFi connection).
And now if I could have a question about traffic shaping. I did read
everything I could find but I still have two problems: first, the MARK
from tcrules is not working in HTB based simple tc filter line ("handle
$MARK fw classid 1:20"). If I switch

Fwd: Traffic Shaping on a Transparent Bridge not working!
I''m trying to shape traffic on a Devil-Linux box.
This note was originally sent to their maillist,

to my repeated attempts to subscribe to this list.

Bandwith thinking error
Hi,
I found that I had some thinking error with the wshaper script. I assigned
the bandwith of my DSL connection to it, but the machine where it runs is
normally connected to the LAN with 100Mbit behind a separate
Hardware-Router.Obviously, the complete connection of the machine was slowed down to 384k
because I told it so.I guess, since wshaper takes only one card as argument, I can''t

I''m really new to traffic shaping and try to implement the wshaper.htb

the inet via adsl with a hardware router/firewall, got 384k downlink 64k

can I use tos and fwmark at the same time?
Hello lartc maintainers and users!
I have a router with two NICs. One NIC is connected to the Internet and the other to my internal LAN. I made a script for priorizing interactive traffic. The script matches TOS Minimize-Delay for priorizing interactive trafic, and fwmark for metropolitan packets.
I have two root classes (simulating two circuits) : 1:1 for internet and 1:3 for metropolitan.

Difficulties trying to control VOIP traffic with TC - HTB
Hi all:
I hope someone can help me with this "little"
problem...
I''m using a linux script to sub-divide my bandwidth
(64kbit) into: 40kbit for VOIP, and the remaining
24kbit for http. So, the commands I''m using are:
============================================
#!/bin/bash
# This script shapes "downloading" stuff
# Initial qdisc
tc qdisc add dev eth1
