After I enabled SSL, stream mountpoints broke
I'm running Icecast package 2.4.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 from ttp:// download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/dm8tbr/xUbuntu_14.04. I've been running on this server for about 6 months now without any issue and all my streams run great. This icecast server is running on the same host that my wordpress site is running on. This is all on my own private server, not a hosting service. Recently I

After I enabled SSL, stream mountpoints broke
Philipp, Thank you for your quick response. I can't believe that I didn't think of that...I guess I just assumed that it would use SSL. I'm using Liquidsoap as my source client. Once you brought that up I started researching whether there was a way to force Liquidsoap to use SSL and from what I found it doesn't look like there is an option...but please correct me if you or

Streaming SSL / HTTPS with m3u file
I solved the issue by adding my own m3u files to /usr/share/icecast/web but I am not sure if this is icecast best-practice. This also raises a few other issues as well… http stream links don’t appear on the icecast stream directory and stream titles and track metadata does not display when opening m3u files created in this way. I assume that there are various reasons for this…mainly that https

[PATCH v2 2/3] v2v: -o rhv-upload: Only set SSL context for https connections.
For real imageio servers the destination will always be https. This change has no effect there. However when testing we want to use an http server for simplicity. As there is no certificate or cafile in this case the call to create the context will fail. This also simplifies creation of the context object and recognizes the "insecure" flag for connecting to imageio. Thanks: Nir

Open SSL connection to HTTPS?
Hi All, I just tried to test my web server with telnet. The only problem was that my web server refuses non-encrypted connections (duh!). I know that SSL and SSH are *entirely* different, but ssh is the only commonly-available encryption-enabled command-line tool around. It would be greate to have an SSL-emulation mode in OpenSSH.... Just wishful thinking, Ciaran --

Streaming SSL / HTTPS with m3u file
Hi, I installed icecast2 on Debian 10 via backports for buster so that I could get ssl support. I’ve successfully configured iceacst to stream via ssl within the browser. No problems there. For instance I can successfully open a https link to the stream with a URL like https://domain-name.net:8433/mountname <https://domain-name.net:8433/mountname> However, the same URL with .m3u at the

Source can't connect to Icecast with SSL enabled
Hello, I have liquidsoap streaming to icecast with url authentication and everything works as it should. However, I enabled SSL in icecast to enhance security and now the source doesn't connect. In the error.log I see [2015-01-14 11:49:11] DBUG slave/_slave_thread checking master stream list [2015-01-14 11:49:13] DBUG client/client_read_bytes reading from connection has failed

[bug] ssl-params hangs when FIPS is enabled
Hi, we found a bug in ssl-params. It calls openssl DH generator for 512 and 1024 bits, but in FIPS mode, openssl won't generate anything for less than 1024, so it fails with: error:0506A06E:Diffie-Hellman routines:DH_BUILTIN_GENPARAMS:key size too small but when DH generator fails, ssl-params hangs forever in io_loop_run: __epoll_wait_nocancel() io_loop_handler_run(..) at
