HTB shares equally when borrowing enabled :(
Hi, I''m fighting seriously with a most simple HTB setup. I''d like to share the incoming 64kbps into 5 and 59 for two different machines under NAT. HTB seems to hold the required limits when ceil is not set (no borrowing), but when borrowing enabled it seems to share equally rather then keeping the specified ratio. My setup is below. A typical output of "tc -s -d qdisc

More on qdiscs
I notice one other small problem with my modified version of SFQ. The fact that packets can be dropped at dequeue time is incompatible with the way HTB (and probably CBQ and others modeled on it) keep statistics. When I fill a low rate queue causing packets to expire and be dropped at dequeue I get interesting statistics like this: This is my variant of SFQ qdisc plfq 8016: dev eth1 ... Sent

PTMP BRI Unable to receive TEI from network in state 2(Assign awaiting TEI) - Asterisk 1.6.2, Latest DAHDI, LibPRI
Hi all, Last night I went to replace an Asterisk 1.4 + mISDN + b410p box with Asterisk 1.6.2 and DAHDI BRI - to no avail. I had two servers so copied network setting etc from the working one, moved the card across, ran dahdi_genconf etc and it didn't work. Here's the console output with notices disabled: lucas*CLI> pri intense debug span 1 Enabled debugging on span 1 [Dec 16

Call dropped 100% of time when incoming IAX routed to outgoing CAPI
Good day, The unusual thing about this problem is that it doesn't occur just during a CAPI call, or just during an IAX/SIP call. Only during IAX/CAPI I'm having some trouble with the CAPI interface and it only occurs when a call comes in on an IAX channel and goes out the CAPI interface. The capi debug in the asterisk console is below as well as the relevent parts of .conf files from

Shorewall + IPsec Tunnel
Hi everyone! First of all, sorry about my bad English and the e-mails extension. I need some help to implement a VPN connection using shorewall and openswan as IPSec Tunnel. My network map: CLIENT VPN APPLIANCE --> +++INTERNET+++ --> FIREWALL --> OPENSWAN SERVER (DMZ) I have two VPN connections with two different subnets to the other end. The two of then are correctly established.

Re: LARTC Digest, Vol 27, Issue 26
Hi folks...!!! I need to generate qdisc statistics to show my 4 class (10, 20, 30, 40), i`ve all working with HTB and so on, but i need to graph this results e.gwith RRDTOOL. I found a script made in perl, that can to graph my 4 class, but i need to know which IP address on my LAN are using the bandwidth too, in other hand i need to classify the traffic by IP to show. This is an out of my

Re:Does HTB consider PRIO or not? 2
Thanks for quick reply Andreas! > Every class is allowed to use bandwidth as long as it does not have to > borrow (the specified rate is guaranteed). Prio in HTB only affects > borrowing bandwidth from other classes... In the example below, the class > 1:5 should be allowed to borrow bandwidth before 1:14 does. Thats exactly what I want from HTB to do..to prio the borrowed bandwidth.

I would like to offer my help.
Hello, Nouveau devs! I would like you to know that I have a laptop with 2 Geforce GTX 285m cards on board in an SLI config, I know the SLI part is not relevant at this point, but I still would like to offer my rig for testing single card configs. If you want to walk me thru what you need me to do, just shoot me an email. Matthew Kolar

Why cant I see the parent of a qdiscs?

max latency with htb and wondershaper for voip and p2p
Hi I''m actually using a wondershaper derived script. The problem I have is that when I ping (ping is in high priority queue) the ping time is not as low as I expected with p2p running: 760 packets transmitted, 760 received, 0% packet loss, time 759695ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 39.667/62.863/598.539/33.287 ms, pipe 2 With voip, it is much better with the qos but it is still a little

Routing problem
Hi, I'm building a firewall/router on Centos. I'm using Shorewall but have currently stopped and cleared the firewall rules to isolate the routing problem. My firewall box has 5 interfaces in it but currently only two are involved in the problem. eth1: inet addr:192.168.1.224 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 eth3: inet addr:192.168.202.1 Bcast:192.168.202.255

htb2 -> htb3 problems
Hello! I need to switch from htb2 to htb3, because of speed issues (for me, htb2 is unable to handle more then 100mbit duplex with ~550 classes), kernel profiling shows htb_dequeue_prio at 1st place with 3x isolation. So, I''ve moved from 2.4.19 to 2.4.25 kernel (hi-pac for classification/marking and htb3 for queueing), and traffic rate drop from 100 to 20mbit. What can be wrong? The

marked packets end up in wrong class
Hello, I have recently started looking at tc and iptables. I have an htb-queue with two classes 1:10 and 1:20 where 1:20 is the default. Then I use iptables to mark all packets I send out on eth1. I then filter marked packets into class 1:10. I expected all packets sent on eth1 to end up in class 1:10, but some packets still go to 1:20. Did I do it wrong? Thank you for any help. regards, David

couldn''t get available bandwith
Hello all. We have three tunnels over the internet between our "central" gateway and some branch office gateway. Each gateway has eth0 on its LAN an eth1 on the internet. We use DSL lines and eth1''s have the internet IP directly attached on it. Each gateway, also, acts as iptables NAT gateway. The outgoing bandwith is 300 kbit, and we tried this (i.e.) on each tunnel: tc
