pfifo_fast as leaf qdisc for htb classes
Thank you Andy! I did''t find why I could''t use the fw match in ingress. Now it works. Now I ran into another problem: When I try to add a pfifo_fast leaf qdisc dor htb classes it seg.-faults. Is pfifo_fast a special qdisc? I can succesfully add other type of qdiscs. I found that a similar problem was reported in february on a MIPS architecture. root@zefir:/usr/src# tc qdisc

HTB problems
Hello, I have HTB on IMQ device. My rate does not work as I configured. I configured 1920kbit/s and I can download only about 290kbit/s (while it should be the whole bandwidth). My script: /sbin/modprobe imq numdevs=1 /usr/local/sbin/tc qdisc del dev imq0 root 2> /dev/null > /dev/null /usr/local/sbin/tc qdisc del dev imq0 ingress 2> /dev/null > /dev/null /sbin/ifconfig imq0 down

HTB/IMQ troubles (probably)
Hello, I use HTB with linux-2.4.20-ac1 and iptables-1.2.7a (pathced for IMQ). I configured one HTB qdisc on an IMQ device. This qdisc has some classes (about 5) and all of the classes has qdisc pfifo. I sometimes got out from my linux (while I was working) and I found in logs: Dec 4 11:49:27 core kernel: HTB init, kernel part version 3.7 Dec 4 11:49:28 core kernel: HTB: quantum of class

tc segmentation faults when trying to add pfifo_fast as leaf discipline on a HTB class
Hello I am trying to attach pfifo_fast to af leaf htb class. But tc segmenetation faults. If I try the failing command throug strace, it shows me that the last thing tc tries to do just before the segmentation fault, is to try to open a file called "/usr/lib/tc/q_pfifo_fast.so". Of course i have tried to find worthfull information around the Internet, but haven''t found

Filter problem
Hi ! I want to share my bandwidth between 10 computers. I want to redirect computer A(192.168.1.4) to htb class 1:2 and the others to htb class 1:3. But the last tc filter doesn''t work : Error message : "Unknown filter "flowid", hence option "1:3" is unparsable. " I know the option "default" for htb but I don''t want to use it for some

rate limited pfifo_fast?
Hi, I have a cable modem with a bandwidth capped upload rate. I''d like to prioritize packets going outbound according to the TOS header of the IP field. I''ve read through the LARTC Howto several times, and I think I have a good feel for the information it it. It also seems that what I''m trying to do is pretty straight-forward and common. Unfortunately, the HOWTO

TOS filed and pfifo_fast
I would like to use HTB''s prio parameter as the sole priority value for pfifo_fast. Is the TOS field in packets honored by an HTB class with the default pfifo_fast qdisc enqueued when coming from a child class with a prio parameter?! If yes, what''s the least expensive way (in terms of CPU cycles) of stripping all packets from the TOS field?!

Proxy-ARP
I''m working with LEAF boxes as gateway machines. I''m trying to implement Proxy-ARP to build a bandwidth manager for my network. I''ve gone as per the lartc howto to implement a transparent bridge in an existing network and plan to put in my tc script after this. I''m configuring the box as a standalone one before plugging it into the network. I''m getting

[Help] IMQ download traffic is duplicated !?
Hi, I have a default class for my un-marked traffic (prio 5) and a prio 0 class for the important stuff, but I do not understand why my download traffic is duplicated in both. It work fine for my upload traffic (same setting except the red class but I have the same result if I create an esfq instead). Any comments/information will be appreciated. Below my config : tc commands from my scirpt :

Please help - totally confused (NAT + FWMARK + IMQ + HTB)
Hello, I''m trying to get my shaper to work, but have only a partial success. Can someone help me with that. My setup unfortunately is not so trivial, but I think some people could have similar one... 1. There is a router connected to the internet line via interface eth0 2. There are users connected to the router via two interfaces : eth1 and wlan0 3. All users are assigned private IP

Best internet traffic shaping for small lan
I''m admin of 50 clients. Sometimes I upgrading my internet traffic shaping script. I think rules of inetrnet traffic shaping is very important thing! I would like to ask some help from people, who understand something about SQUID ZPH and TC, to aim beter internet traffic shaping scripts. Squid has ZPH suport, becouse its responds to such commands as: zph_tos_local 8 zph_tos_peer 0
