Help!!! Bandwith Control with a NAT machine
Hello everyone, First of all, sorry for my poor english. I''ve been working with this for a few weeks and I''m getting sick... I''m trying to control the bandwith in my network using the following script. The machine where the script is running makes NAT, eth0 is connected to the router and eth1 is connected to the Lan. When I run the script it doesn''t appear any

Random Early Detection
I''m streaming audio over a WAN that is 1.5Mbit/s. The audio has to go both ways and can be over tcp or udp. The manufacturers recommend udp as it has less overhead but has a higher chance of dropping out. The audio requires 130-200kbit/s in each direction for a combined 260-400kbit/s. I have two transparent bridges on either side of the WAN to do traffic control. I split it so

Shaping not working
Hi folks, I''m trying to shape two clients in my LAN when accessing the internet. Actual situation is that EVERY traffic goes into 1:40, so the client which should fall into 1:30 does not get the lower uplink it should have, but the uplink defined for the client defined as 1:30 When I disable the definition of 1:40, every traffic falls into 1:30 (except for the traffic defined to be in

basic htb setup
Hey all. I''m trying to set up QoS using the HTB qdisc in a very basic setup, but it the example shown in the howto doesn''t seem to be working. While the packets show up in the correct classes, they appear to be completely ignoring the rates, meaning nothing gets shaped. My setup is that I''ve got a a bunch of machines behind my firewall/router: 1.2.3.1

tc and iptables trouble
Hi all I have a trouble configuring the qdiscs, when I indicate the "perturb 10" option to tc, i gives me this error: tc qdisc add dev eth0 parent 5:1323 handle 1323 sfq perturb 10 RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument if I don''t put the "perturb 10" option, it works. another question is about iptables, when I indicate the " --set-mark" option: iptables -t

pb with ingress policy
Hi ! I have a single host which is connected via an 512kbit ADSL link to the n= et. I quite often use some realaudio application that uses some bandwidth = and I want to avoid other traffic to scale that bandwidth down. So I used = some classes (with htb) on imq0 device and applied some filters and it see= ms to work in most cases. However, there are some sites with which downloa= d is

HTB and BOND Interface
Hi! Is it HTB fully compatible with BOND interface? I have this setup (mode= fault tolerance) : BOND0 -> ETH0 + ETH1 BOND1 -> ETH2 + ETH3 ( http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/marcelo/linux-2.4/Documentation/networking/bonding.txt ) HTB work very well with Class over BOND0. If I add Class for BOND1 it generate balance errors. Also with HTB.init

htb & bandwidth sharing
Hi everybody! I''ve been trying with htb and tc filter. It seemed to work fine, but after testing with ethloop I''ve realized that traffic is not being distributed through the leaves as I thought. When sending packets to 1:10 and 1:11 at the same time, there''s no bandwidth sharing. There''s no traffic through 1:11 until traffic through 1:10 has finished. Though
