i'm trying to use the ssh command's -f option with OpenSSH v2.1.1p4 on
linux (RedHat v6.2). this option doesn't seem to be working properly on my
system - the specified is run succesfully but it isn't put to the
background. is this a known problem?
also, OpenSSH doesn't seem to interoperate with SSH Communications

Problem running stepAIC within a function.
Hi
I need to a function that automatically fits a regression to data, using the
stepAIC. I've ran the code manually and it works fine. However, when I run
the function on the same data, the following error occurs:
Problem in regimp(fullsim = simt, fullsim1 = simt1,..: Length of (weights)
(variable 4) is 4271 != length of others (4278)
I got the function to output the length of the dataset

Asterisk on AVR32
Greetings everyone,
I'm trying to compile asterisk for an AVR32 (Atmel NGW100).
Buildroot for AVR32 already has the asterisk package, though it has
bugs. Firstly it tries to apply a patch for 1.2 on a 1.6, but deleting
the contents of the patch file did the trick.
Now, the problem is making asterisk. The first error is because asterisk
needed to be ./configure:ed.
Trying to just do

Table and ftable
Dear listmembers,
I have a little question: I have my data organized as follow
sic level area
a 211 2.4
b 311 2.3
b 322 0.2
b 322 0.5
c 100 3.0
c 100 1.5
c 242 1.5
d 222 0.2
where levels and sics are factors. I'm trying to obtain a matrix like this:

[LLVMdev] LLVM Python binding
I'd might think about that, I have created quite a few Python bindings and,
oddly enough, do enjoy it, probably just because of how easy boost::python
makes it (I have always manually done it directly using that, but because of
the sheer size of LLVM I may use a code generator to generate the basics,
and yes I know how to manually create python C modules without any binder,
but boost::python

[LLVMdev] Why is "typedef boost::shared_ptr<MyClass> MyClass_ptr" named "struct.boost::MyClass_ptr" by llvm-g++?
Hi,
In the code below, MyNamespace::MyClass_ptr will be named
"struct.boost::MyClass_ptr" by llvm-g++, and not
"struct.MyNamespace::MyClass_ptr" as I expected.
I observed this with the real boost::shared_ptr but used the code below
(also attached as structnametest1.cc) on the demo page
(http://llvm.org/demo/index.cgi) to reproduce the behavior.
When I extended my test code

Bug Openssh v2.3.0
Hello together,
we have very often a problem using OpenSSH v2.3.0 on Solaris 2.6.
The daemon hangs up and it is not possible to login in. The -v option
for ssh displays the following:
# ssh -v zvadm1
SSH Version OpenSSH_2.3.0p1, protocol versions 1.5/2.0.
Compiled with SSL (0x0090600f).

Median on Aggregated data
Folks,
I have the following code, that works fine on smaller data sets. For
larger datasets, it runs out of memory and runs way too slow because we
are essentially creating large vectors with rep() and then calling
median() on it. (I learned this approach from a post on the web).
Below that, I have written the corresponding SAS code. The SAS code
works fast because I can just tell the proc

scoping rules; summary
Hi everyone
thanks for the replies.
The issue was NOT a font problem; I deliberately chose ll1 and l11 as
examples of easily confused variable names (evidently these were too
easily confused ;-). The code snippet was written as intended, and
increment() contained a deliberate, highlighted, bug. I was asking
for guidance on avoiding/finding this sort of coding error.
That was why I wrote

[LLVMdev] name collision - llvm::tie and boost::tie
The BGL (Boost Graph Library) defines tie(), which is exactly what the
tie() defined in STLExtras.h.
The header files of GBL use boost::tie(), and other boost libraries
use boost::tie() too.
How to resolve the ambiguity for compiler?
