routing decision based on sorce port
Hello Routing Gurus ;-)
I''d like to know if it''s possible to make a routing decision for pakets
originating from a specific port of the local machine without using
ipfilter/iptables to mark the pakets.
I read about the tc filter stuff but that seems only to be able to sort
the pakets to a different queue on the same interface and not choose a
different interface for example.

ZFS core contributor nominations
The time has come to review the current Contributor and Core contributor
grants for ZFS. Since all of the ZFS core contributors grants are set
to expire on 02-24-2009 we need to renew the members that are still
contributing at core contributor levels. We should also add some new
members to both Contributor and Core contributor levels.
First the current list of Core contributors:

[LLVMdev] problem using LTO
Hello,
I down loaded "llvm-gcc4.2-2.7-x86_64-linux" and I built Spec2006 with it.
It is great and except for one benchmark the rest work fine. I want to build
them with LTO now. I followed the directions in "
http://llvm.org/docs/GoldPlugin.html" and built ar, nm-new, and ld-new in
binutils. I also built libLLVMgold.so.
I get the following error:
llvm-gcc: -use-gold-plugin,

Nithya,
I will be out of the office for ~10 days starting tomorrow. Is there any way we could possibly resolve it today?
Thanks,

Error initializing flac stream decoder.
I've cross-compiled flac for the armv4l processor (rio receiver), and
i'm trying to start up a decode thread :
#include <FLAC/stream_decoder.h>
....
FLAC__StreamDecoder *flac = NULL;
flac = FLAC__stream_decoder_new();
if (flac == NULL) {
printf("[DECODE] Unable to initalize flac object\n");

Ferret and non latin characters support
I''ve successfully installed ferret and acts_as_ferret and have no
problem with utf-8 for accented characters. It returns correct results
fot e.g. fran?ais. My problem is with non latin characters (Persian
indeed). I have tested different locales with no success both on Debian
and Mac. Any idea?
(ferret 0.11.4, acts_as_ferret 0.4.0, rails 1.1.6)

Error initializing flac stream decoder.
Thanks for that email. The one lihe change I made is this :
from #define FLAC__MAX_RICE_PARTITION_ORDER (15u)
to #define FLAC__MAX_RICE_PARTITION_ORDER (6u)
and that seemed to make decoder_new() happy, but it's promptly crashing
after making a call to the read callback (below), then to the meta
callback. The meta callback did nothing but print a string and return.
I removed it, and

Error initializing flac stream decoder.
I changed just the FLAC__EntropyCodingMethod_PartitionedRice struct, but
it hasn't changed a thing. I'm still getting the same behaviour.
typedef struct {
unsigned order;
unsigned parameters[1 << 6];
unsigned raw_bits[1 << 6];
} FLAC__EntropyCodingMethod_PartitionedRice;
Any other thoughts?
Thanks,
Reza

[LLVMdev] fp Question
Hi,
I ran Spec2006 with -O4. All integer benchmarks passed, but only 8 out 17
of floating point benchmarks passed. Is this normal or I made a mistake in
my build?

Amar,
Thanks for your prompt reply. No, I do not plan to fix the code and re-compile. I was hoping it could be fixed with setting the shared-brick-count or some other option. Since this is a production system, we will wait until a fix is in a release.
Thanks,

[LLVMdev] llvm-g++ does not work!
Hi,
I am using PinaVM which is a prototype of a SystemC front-end based on
"LLVM". The only version that it works with is 2.8. Also to test
PinaVM, we need llvm-g++ (I think clang does not work). However, when
I want to run an example, i get the following error, which i think is
related to llvm-g++:

[LLVMdev] LLVM and Spec2006
Hi,
What are the best options to compile Spec2006 with LLVM compilers to get the
best performance numbers on x86?
Has anybody compared LLVM Spec2006 numbers with GCC 4.5 base?

df does not show full volume capacity after update to 3.12.4
Hi Freer,
Our analysis is that this issue is caused by
https://review.gluster.org/17618. Specifically, in
'gd_set_shared_brick_count()' from
https://review.gluster.org/#/c/17618/9/xlators/mgmt/glusterd/src/glusterd-utils.c
.
But even if we fix it today, I don't think we have a release planned
immediately for shipping this. Are you planning to fix the code and
re-compile?

[LLVMdev] llvm-config!
Hi,
I am trying to install a program that works just with llvm-2.8. I have installed it but while i am trying to run llvm-config it says no such file or directory:
bash: /usr/bin/llvm-config: No such file or directory Does any body know how to solve this problem? I can use apt-get but it gives me either 2.9 or 3.0 or higher versions.
Thank you,
Reza
