[LLVMdev] Problem with missing support for non-zero contant initializers.
Hi all.
I'm working on a LLVM based compiler for the D programming language by
Walter Bright.
D allows static arrays up to 16MB in size. I'm initializing global
static arrays with a constant initializer. But D requires that (per
default) static arrays are initialized with the default initializer
for the element type. For float this happens to be NaN, so I cannot

rake error
I installed at least one gem since I thought I actually once was able to
run ''rake appdoc'' command since there is an api for my models and the
ez_where plugin that I installed earlier. I wanted to see the api for
pdf-writer which is the gem that I installed most recently.

rake test:units -> table already exists
Hi!
When I run test:units, rails complains about the tables already being
present. They had to be present so I could run individual unit tests. So
why doesn''t rails just drop the tables if they exist?
Any ideas??

Possible Problem with RSpec and
Sorry to be such a pest but I am trying to learn Ruby, Rails and RSpec all
at one go and it is a bit overwhelming. I have previously completed the
depot tutorial in the Agile Web Dev with rails book and now I am trying do
do it again using RSpec.
What I would like to know now is why I am getting a rake failure error at
the end of every spec:models run. Is this the expected behaviour when a

Ferret 0.9.5
Hi,
I was wondering if the latest version of acts_as_ferret (0.2.2) that is
listed on http://projects.jkraemer.net/acts_as_ferret/ is compatible
with the latest version of Ferret 0.9.5. I noticed that the website
above stated that it was supposed to work with 0.9.4, but I didn''t see
anything about 0.9.5.
Thanks,
Aaron

MySQL error when running rake migrate
Running rails 1.1 and MySQL 5 on Kubuntu. I moved the same rails project
from one machine to another. To set up the database I try to run `rake
migrate` but I am greeted with the error/stack trace below. Any idea why
this could be? It doesn''t seem to be a permissions problem--I can login
to the database as my application just fine. I tried downgrading MySQL
to v4.1 because that is

rake migrate error: nil.first
My migrations were working fine until today. I dropped and re-created the
database. But, when I go to apply my migrations, rake migrate aborts with
this error.
You have a nil object when you didn''t expect it!
You might have expected an instance of Array.
The error occured while evaluating nil.first
Any idea what might be wrong? The migrations look right. It''s talking to

Execute additional commands after creating database?
I''m writing some code that accesses some lagacy database on
PostgreSQL. Since the old database had some really ughly and weird
naming conventions (like CamelCase). To work around this I created a
second schema (named rails) in the same database and gave the tables
and fields some rails-friendly names. The database user that Rails
uses has its search_path set to the rails schema. That way
