Rails sessions working intermittently in IE7
Hello,
We are developing in Rails 2.1.0 and serving the files with mongrels
behind Apache. We are using SqlSessionStore. Recently I noticed that
when logging into our site using IE7 the session doesn''t persist in
some situations, and persists when it shouldn''t.
For instance when I log in my info is maintained when visiting certain
pages, but disappears on others. The info never

sql_session_store on rails2
Hi
We''re in the midst of upgrading our rails 1.2.6 app to rails 2.0. We
have been using the sql_session_store plugin for our sessions. I
wondering if anyone is still using SqlSessionStore on their rails 2
apps? Is it still worthwhile?

Using lighttpd + fcgi to power a site. When no one has accessed it in
a while, the first visit to the page takes a while to load up. Then
subsequent visits are fairly fast.
Any ideas on how to fix it?

L options in Dial() dont seem to work....
Hello Asterisk users,
Can someone thwack me with a clue stick please?
I am following the Asterisk TFOT book Dial() example trying to get the limit
and announcements to work as per below.
These settings seem to have no effect.
There are no warning messages after 4 minutes or every 30 secs thereafter
and the call lasts longer than 5 minutes.

Creating new variable with maximum visit date by group_id
Dear R users,
I am encoutering the following problem: I have a dataset with a 'unique_id' and different 'visit_date' (formatted as.Date, "%d/%m/%Y") per unique_id. I would like to create a new variable with the most recent date of visit per unique_id as shown below.

No stacktrace on errors (edge rails)
Hi,
I must be missing something or have something misconfigured, but I
get no stack-trace when there is an error in the code behind a view.
If the view doesn''t compile, then I see an error & stacktrace, but
all other errors I get a "lost network connection" from the browser,
and nothing at all in the server output or development.log.

Count entries in postgresql grouped by date
Hi!
I have a table with visits with a visited_at: attribute which is a datetime
field. They seem to be stored as UTC. Now I want to count all visits each
day and return something like:
{
2013-01-01: 8,
2013-01-02: 4,
2013-01-07: 9,
...
}
So, I did it like this which kind of works...:

strange has_many array problem
I have a class that has_many :visits, I want to search through the
visits to get only ones that are committed:
I thought it would be as easy as:

visits.find_all do |visit|

but this always returns the entire list of visits. The only way to
get it to work is to put the visits into a new array first:

I am using R 2.1.0 in a Win XP . I have a problem working with lists, probably I
do not understand how to use them.
Lets suppose that a set of patients visit a clinic once a year for 4 years
on each visit a test, say 'eib' is performed with results 0 or 1

A re-sampling problem
I plan on analyzing some bird point count data. I need to develop a
re-sampling regime for data like this.

Mixed effects model with binomial errors - problem
Hi,
We released individual birds into a room with 2 trees. We counted the number
of visits to each of the 2 tree. One of the trees is always a control tree
and the other tree is either treatment 1, treatment 2 or treatment3 or

Adding reference lines to xyplot
I'm trying to add a set of reference lines to a multipanel xyplot
xyplot(y ~ x | Visit,
panel = function(x, y, ...){
panel.xyplot(x, y, ...)
abline(v = c(0.5, 1))
})
However, the reference lines are different for different visits. For
example, for the first 2 visits, I'd like vertical lines at x = 0.5 and 1.
For visits 3 and four, I'd like vertical lines at x = 1 and 1.5. I can
