Capistrano Shovel onto Textdrive SVN error
I''m using the Shovel recipe to deploy my lovely app to text drive.
everyhting seems to be ok apart from the deploy action which fails
saying that there is "No such file or directory" I''ve included the full
error listing below.
The SVN definately exists because we''re using for development.
Does any one have any ideas what might be going wrong?
Thanks

Capistrano/SVN: Deploying different database.yml for live?
Greetings,
Today I''ve been working out how to begin using Capistrano and so far I''m
impressed. Even in my situation, learning Rails and deploying to a
single server, it''s incredibly helpful. I do have one small question
though:
In using Subversion I''ve used the "ignore" feature to ignore my local
database.yml file, because my local database and

capistrano CLI automation - using capistrano as a library
Hi all,
I''m trying to integrate Capistrano (thanks Jamis and DHH for such a lovely
piece of software) into an application I''m writing.
I can''t figure out, though, how to get output from capistrano when it''s used
through the CLI or configuration class, however. I see that it implements a
logger (Logger) and I see that starting on line 12 of the included

SVN & Capistrano
I have my svn repository set up locally and working properly. I
followed the instructions for local SVN deployment w/ capistrano
(http://blog.wolfman.com/articles/2006/12/06/a-capistrano-scm-module-
for-local-svn-access). I am able to connect to my server, however, it
doesn''t put anything in the releases folder. Why is this?
Also, in deploy.rb I set the repository to:

capistrano and svn+ssh on non-standard port
Hi,
I have ssh configured with a non-standard port, and I use svn+ssh to
access to my repository. As the svn+ssh protocol doesn''t support the
colon convention to specify the port, I export the SVN_SSH variable in
.bashrc, like this...
SVN_SSH="ssh -p 2323"
Now I can do a checkout from the command like using something like
this...
svn checkout

Capistrano with Local (not file:///) repository
I''m developing an rails app. The SVN repository resides on a (Win 2k)
server on my company''s local intranet. The repository is accessed via
http (Apache + mod_dav_svn). From this machine, it is not a problem to
get out onto the Internet. However, coming in from the Internet is not
possible (at least, not without a VPN connection).
Given this, is it possible to use

Capistrano and multiple Dev environments?
I have working copies of code in development on multiple places - work
machine, home machine, laptop, etc. I can''t always force these machines to
use the same credentials; I end up with each machine having slightly
different database.yml configurations.
With Subversion-Pre-Capistrano, I left the entire config directory out of
Subversion (or some kind of template; see

Saving images in shared directory w/ Capistrano/SVN?
Hi all,
I''m using Capistrano and SVN to version control and deploy, but I''m not
sure what to do about my images directory. I use file_column and
RMagick to save images to the disk under a model called "Image", and
they''re saved in public/image/... etc.
Each time I deploy a new version, my image folder doesn''t exist anymore.
I don''t want

Deploying from local machine to remote host using capistrano?
Hi,
I would like to deploy a RoR application from my local machine to a remote
host.
Looks like the capistrano assumes that you are using an internet accessible
host for the SVN repository and doesn''t checkout files using file:///!
Did I miss some configuration?
How do other people handle their application deployment from your local
machine?
Thanks for your feedback.

Capistrano and mongrel not deploying latest revision from SVN
Hello. I recently deployed my new rails application. Everything went
fine, except for the fast that my mongrel cluster managed by
Capistrano is only serving up the first revision. For instance, i one
of my revisions I added a new action to my application. I checked it
into svn, and ran cap deploy in my application''s root directory. I
didn''t get any serious errors, except for

capistrano can''t find svn
I''m trying to get capistrano to deploy to an osx machine - rake
remote:cold_deploy but it fails on the svn co line with
"bash: line 2: svn: command not found"
I''ve set the proper path to svn (/usr/local/bin) in both .bash_profile
and .bash_login but capistrano seems to be ignoring these.
How does capistrano know where to look for svn?
Thanks

Subversion and Capistrano
I have a project under Subversion, deployed by Capistrano.
When it is deployed, obviously I need to deploy "real" copies of
database.yml, deploy.rb, and maybe a couple of other files.
But if I offer it for public checkout, I obviously do not want these
files as part of the checked out code.
What''s the best way to handle this?

Capistrano and Certificates
All,
I''m setting up a deployment script with Capistrano at the moment, and
am running into some trouble when it attempts to pull the code down
from the SVN server when I run the deploy task.
The SVN server runs over https, and the problem seems to be when I get
asked whether I want to accept or reject the certificate. I hit ''p'' to
accept the certificate permanently,

Shared model with Capistrano/SVN
I got Capistrano working with one of my Rails projects, but I intend
to use identical models in a second project. I originally was using a
symlink to point to the other models, but I want to be able to use
the same ''rake deploy'' command for the two apps individually so I
don''t have to deploy both together all the time. Any ideas?
