Eruby.import -> "uninitialized constant" error
I''m working on porting a dynamic website done in PHP over to mod_ruby. I have everything set up and working nicely (I can make a .rhtml page, put ruby code between <% %> and it works etc), but when I try to use "Eruby.import" as a sort of analog to PHP''s "require_once()", I run into trouble. 1) eruby is in my cgi-bin 2) here''s a sample of

eRuby & Rails: Not Compatible
I''m new to Ruby, Rails, and this list. I''ve tried searching for an answer but it all seems to be over my head. I have all the books but again they seem to leave me on my own to figure out the stuff that really matters. Where is the best place to find out the details? Exactly what are these much celebrated "naming conventions"; i.e. where do I find an exhaustive

imap and character enconding
Hi, hi, hi little droogies First of all, sorry for the lame english and the dumb question. After a quick search on google I found iconv, and some other toys, but the point is: I''m making a small webmail app for my company, still taking the first steps. For instance, if I want to read my INBOX folder and list the messages: ------------------------------------------- CONTROLLER =>

Install problems: R-o-R on Debian with mod_ruby
Hello, I have tried to setup Ruby-on-rails on my debian Linux machine and can not get it to run. Maybe someone can help. The following was installed already: - apache2 2.0.54 (and PHP5) - Postgresql 8.1 Now, having the ''unstable'' branch in my /etc/apt/sources.list I did: apt-get install libapache2-mod-ruby and Apache reports a "mod_ruby/1.2.4 Ruby/1.8.4"

Win32 commandline discid utility?
I'm in the process of re-encoding lots of albums with rc3. This isn't too hard because my computer lab at school has 24 machines which I can all get ripping/encoding in parallel. Machines are Win95. I'm currently using EAC (www.exactaudiocopy.de) to do clean rips (unfortunately a GUI interface), a cygwin port of normalize (http://www.cs.columbia.edu/~cvaill/normalize/), oggenc,

How can an ENC get the --environment value specified on a puppet agent commandline?
Is there any way to pass puppet run details to an ENC. Most importantly I want to know the Environment value the puppet Agent is asking for. More generally is it possible to query the puppet configuration values? One thought I had is to turn the puppet config into FACTS. Then the ENC can get the latest values from either Inventory Services or Foreman. But off hand I don''t know how

Read commandline defaults from a file?
Right now compiz has hardcoded defaults for command line options like direct vs indirect rendering etc. Because most users use scripts like gnome-wm to start compiz its not that easy for them to change this options. My solution would be to have a file (~/.compizrc) where the default values are saved. So that compiz checks for the file first and pic up this values. If no file is found it fails

[LLVMdev] CommandLine.cpp:189: error: `strdup' undeclared
Hi Guys I'm trying to port and build LLVM to the Interix environment. [LLVMdev] CommandLine.cpp:189: error: `strdup' undeclared
Hi I've found below declaration of strdup in /usr/include/string.h. But, I'm wondering why it doesn't belong to the ordinary function prototypes as extern char * __cdecl strcpy(char *, const char *);. Are you able to explain below meaning to me? #if defined(_ALL_SOURCE) \ || (defined(_XOPEN_SOURCE) && (_XOPEN_SOURCE_EXTENDED==1)) \ || (__STDC__ - 0 == 0
