HTB shares equally when borrowing enabled :(
Hi,
I''m fighting seriously with a most simple HTB setup. I''d like to share
the incoming 64kbps into 5 and 59 for two different machines under NAT.
HTB seems to hold the required limits when ceil is not set (no
borrowing), but when borrowing enabled it seems to share equally rather
then keeping the specified ratio.
My setup is below. A typical output of "tc -s -d qdisc

HTB traffic shaping odd effects
Hi,
I''m trying to perform some (what I consider) basic traffic shaping on
our network utilising HTB. I have mostly reused the example on the
lartc.org site:
tc qdisc add dev eth0 root handle 1: htb default 10
tc class add dev eth0 parent 1: classid 1:1 htb rate 100mbit burst 24k
tc class add dev eth0 parent 1:1 classid 1:10 htb rate 50mbit ceil
80mbit burst 19k
tc class add dev eth0

A HTB problem
My hardware is a Linksys AP with MIPS 300MHz and Linux kernel 2.4.20.
The traffics are from two LAN switch ports to WAN port. And the traffics
are generate at a rate of 80Mbit. So the total traffic to WAN port is
160Mbit. The shaping works well that the traffic to WAN port is about
50/30Mbit according to configuration. But the priority seems strange
when the root rate is 50Mbit.
When the root

SCSI, SAS and FC Controller
Greetings,
Currently, we have several Direct Attached Storage (DAS) units,
connected to respective servers through Adaptec SCSI Controller.
1) Most of the time we used 80Mbit/s for external SCSI devices (in
this case, the DAS itself). Is it true the maximum speed for external
SCSI devices would be up to 80Mbit/s? Tried to change to 320Mbit/s but
somehow the kernel crashed. Is there any specific

Big problem :(((((
Hello!
I have an internet connection of 64kbps garanteed in a channel of 256kbps. On this connection the metropolitan speed is 10Mbps and in the provider''s network the speed is 100Mbps.
I have a few clients behind my linux box and i want to set up some limitations because some of them are using it irrational.
I am marking the packets with 0 for internet; 1 for metropolitan 2 for

How to "Windows Authenticate"
Rick,
I extremely dislike Exchange as well. I have a long list of problems: near
impossibility to monitor logs for trouble, poor configurable spam checking, no
good way to archive and review emails ... I could go on for paragraphs, but the
main reason we recently migrated away from SBS/Exchange is that Microsoft no
longer sells Small Business Server and its replacement, Server Essentials, does

[LLVMdev] LTO, plugins and binary sizes
For some time now I was curious on what the size impact of LTO was. I
decided to test this with a large C++ app, clang was a natural choice.
With PR8313 fixed with the proposed patch and PR8300 avoided by
disabling constructor aliasing I was able to hack clang to bootstrap
with LTO enabled using the gold plugin.
I did the testing on linux x86-64. Gcc is the 4.4.4 included with
Fedora 13. The

How to "Windows Authenticate"
More experimentation ...
I tried removing userdb and passdb from the dovecot NTLM config. That didn't
work. I then tried adding a static userdb as follows:
userdb {
driver = static
# allow_all_users = yes
args = gid=100 home=/home/HPRS/%n
}
(Interestingly, when I uncommented "allow_all_users" I got an "unsupported
setting" [or something like that], even though that

How to "Windows Authenticate"
As to your suggested links,
Samba4 uses Heimdal Kerberos which is part of the Samba4 installation:
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba_AD_DC_HOWTO#Installation, so I don't know
if the krb5 configs discussed in your link will apply. I'll revisit this if other
things I'm trying don't work out.
If that http://wiki2.dovecot.org/HowTo/ActiveDirectoryNtlm link were on paper

Re: RE: Control Traffic
Hi Andreas!
I mainly understand what you mean, I tried to fix something on the script, I don''t know if I did it well.
Can you take another look on it please and if is wrong to make the corrections directly on it so that I see where the mistake is...
With this script I want to make limits for IP class 85.120.48.0/25 for international traffic in 256 KBps classes and for metropolitan

How to "Windows Authenticate"
If I had time I would be all over this - but IMHO the main problem is that
Dovecot != Exchange.? Even in small environments - unless I'm out of date,
there's no calendar, tasks or contact lists within Dovecot.
Your next best best is to use something like Horde that would allow you to
auth via ActiveSync (on Outlook 2013 clients) and manage everything else
that the users will want, with

HTB and VOIP- Choppy voice quality: What am I doing wrong? Desperate!
Hello all,
( I apologize if this posts twice )
Here is my situation. I have 3 buildings linked with 100mbit fiber optics (2 runs that come to the corporate office). I have 3 RH9 boxes, one at each location. Each box at the remote locations have 4 NICs, one for the fiber link, one for LAN, one for the VOIP box and one for the internet connection. The corporate office has 4 NICs also, 1

Yes sure here they are:

sa ajunga trafic necunoscut,

Warnings with and without r2q
Hi everyone,
My HTB script is showing me those "r2q change" warnings. I read that I
should test with r2q values to gain accuracy and stop the warnings but I
made some tests with r2q and with burst and I still get the warnings. Any
ideas on this issue will be very helpful. The script seems to be working as
the bandwidth for the IPs is being shaped.
The NIC works at 100mbit and the

Wow, nice results. Please split the patches out according to what they do.
Is there any impact on clang compile time by building with LTO? What about build times? :)
